Maybe, but someone's at least addressing it and going to take a shot.
I think you would agree that we have a chronic disease issue, our food supply is full of crap, we're over medicated, and SOMETHING has to be increasing instances of autism.
In addition, I know you know the gov't waste is tremendous, and they have all the money they need, but need to stop being so inefficient.
So while they may not be successful, a Harris admin wouldn't even address it.
You have two separate issues here. One is the instance (topic), which is true. The other is the resolution (person) which has zero chance of doing anything.
We have already seen what a sell out RFK Jr is. That is who you want in a system of pharm and safety kickbacks? Musk, streamlining the gov't? The very thing that made him super rich? Hasn't he been on a downward spiral lately business wise? I like Musk. He can be very intelligent at times. A lot of what he says, I agree with. But putting a fox in charge of the hen house? We've already seen that.
Disease and autism? They, like most everything else, evolve over time. Yes, food can be to blamed for some of it. But you have to realize that it isn't just the food as much as it is the food choices. People can eat healthy. They just choose not to. It is easier not to. While their is an increase in the number of people suffering from diseases, there really aren't very many new diseases out there. This is just a larger population making bad lifestyle choices. Over medicated.... that is hard to say. Because many new medicines are actually beneficial. When you factor in that the average lifestyle span has increased on par with pharm and medical technology and innovations, there seems to be more good than harm. What there is an increase of (IMO) is that people are now trying more than ever to use pharms to "babysit" the patient. The level of personal care and supervision has gone out the window from the past. Many factors are to blame for this, but a moot issue.
Gov't waste? Yeah, that is real. And nearly all choices of cutting back are doomed to failure before they even get to the vote. Until single item voting is implemented (and enforced) we are going to be stuck with spending shitloads for side projects that nobody but a small few want in the first place.
Regardless, Trumpy and company will have nothing to impart upon this. Just like last time. He even admitted he didn't have a plan. Paying it lip service doesn't make it come true.
