Ah so it rose because of dems then crashed because of dems

No.  It rose following midterm elections like it tends to do historically, regardless of which party wins.

Then it had it's worst post-midterm day crash since 1896 because investors are fearful, with good reason, of Dems taking control of Congress.  It doesn't matter that Dems aren't even in office yet.

Disingenuous post is disingenuous.

You know the market reacts to speculation, and why they would view the left as a party that might over regulate.

To imply this didn't happen due to who was elected is just pure trolling.

It's an insane overreaction and there are other macro factors going on right now that have set up a shit show.

The left will regulate AI, it needs to be done, within reason.

But its up again today, so up two days with one crash. If it's higher next week will that be the dems as well?

Yes.

But it happened yesterday because of who was elected.  That is indisputable and was the point.

The president has little impact on the markets truthfully. The increase was because the dems took the day, the decrease was because AI is going to be regulated more and 7 companies are keeping the sandp afloat. There was a crash in south korea and china as well and it looks like AI is beginning to have a liquidity crunch.

However, it's all on trump, the buck stops there.

Everywhere had record inflation, well the top economies at least.

This is typical of the right, just make up stuff without context and treat it as reality.

Truth is, Trumps issues are self-inflicted. He has made nothing better and most everything worse. But like JD says, give us another chance.

The Bureau of Labor Statistics reported nonfarm payrolls up 165,000 in October, far above projections of 59,000 to 65,000, with the unemployment rate dipping to 4.1 percent. Key sectors drove the gains: professional and business services added 70,000 jobs, health care 42,000, manufacturing 19,000, and transportation 25,000, while wage growth hit 3.1 percent annually. The White House hailed the thriving private-sector growth, and markets reacted with Federal Reserve rate hike odds jumping to 80 percent for December, amid notes of rising foreign-born employment and prior month revisions adding tens of thousands more jobs.

Hope this helps

I don't see what you are loling about.

There was nothing external that caused trumps economic woes. The trade wars (with the world lol), war and corruption are all his to own. Zero external pressures.

Do you think Sen John Kennedy is lying about his recent comments on the intelligence they had on Iran?

there was constant conflicting reports.

The director of national intelligence said in both 2025 and 2026 that iran did not have capabilities for nuclear bombs and that the program was obliterated. This was re-iterated by the intelligence community at large and trump himself.

The way trump went about it also raises red flags by not including nuclear experts in the talks. It's awfully convenient that everyone agreed they buried the material, trump reiterated it multiple times and even stated they have constant surveillance on the site.

So to believe kennedy when most international experts don't would require one to believe everyone was wrong about burying the material and that trump is continuing to lie about the state of the nuclear program. The two weeks claim is insanely overstated as well.

Far more honest people, like Colin Powell, have lied to us about foreign militaries.

I was not referring to the nuclear material.

I was referring about the amassing of missiles and drones, their ability to reach the UK, and what their plans were, according the intelligence he saw.

True.

But, then why did they do it?

I think Colin Powell made a real mistake. He was genuinely convinced by the deep state, CIA, and the lobbyists around him, and he believed what he was told. Because of the consequences that followed, he deserves criticism for that. And it will always tarnish his legacy, rightfully so.

Kennedy is different. He wants the AIPAC money and is willing to shill for it. I don’t think he actually believes the information he’s being given. Or if he does, it’s only because he wants to believe it because it makes accepting the money from the lobbyists easier to justify. People can become true believers just by repeating the same arguments over and over, even when they’re being paid to say them. What starts as a transactional job for money and access turns into real conviction.

Odd

It was Kennedy on the Theo Von podcast.

Man, I don't know.  I just don't think that's Kennedy.

Yes, he is pro-israel, but think the total contributions he got from AIPAC are low.  I think he's like 82nd out of a 100, or like 130k total, according to a quick search.

I assumed since I was talking about nuclear material that's what I was referencing and what you quoted.. I never mentioned kennedy in my response.

20 min into Calley Means on Rogan.

Synopsys so far is all Washington is corrupt, regardless of party.

Interested to see where this goes and the timing of it is suspect in terms of Wyles being replaced.

You're right. I haven’t really dug into Kennedy’s funding. Total contributions are one way to measure influence, but I’m extremely skeptical of foreign lobbyists. They could easily hide donations if they wanted to, or stay mostly on the sidelines and then ramp up quickly if he faces a serious challenger or decides to run nationally.
