Let’s look at the Trump record:

Under Donald Trump the economy, pre-COVID, boomed, like no time since the 1950s. Look at your 401(k) over the past three years.

Unemployment for Black Americans is lower than it has ever been, under any president of either party.

Under Mr. Trump, our trade relationships have vastly improved and our trade deals have been rewritten. Thanks to him, middle America is on the map again and the Appalachian and hourly worker has some hope.

This newspaper has not supported a Republican for president since 1972. But we believe Mr. Trump, for all his faults, is the better choice this year. We respect and understand those who feel otherwise.

He found even more votes in the rural centers of Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and the farmlands of the Midwest.

And in a feat likely to touch off years of Democratic hand-wringing, Mr. Trump won a healthy share of additional Hispanic voters and may have benefited a little from reduced enthusiasm for Mr. Biden in some Democratic counties with large Black populations.

And he did better with Latinos in exit polls of each of the top 10 battleground states, a POLITICO review of election data found.

Joe Biden still won Latino voters overall. But as post-election data trickles in, Democrats are growing concerned. Trump’s notable gains weren’t limited to Miami's Cuban Americans or border-region Tejanos. Although Florida and Texas stood out for the notable shift, Puerto Ricans as far away as Philadelphia and Mexican Americans in Milwaukee drifted Trump-ward.

“Most Latinos identify first as working-class Americans, and Trump spoke to that,” said Josh Zaragoza, a top Democratic data specialist in Arizona, adding that Hispanic men in particular “are very entrepreneurial. Their economic language is more aligned with the way Republicans speak: pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, owning your own business.”

And then there’s the way the left spoke — or were framed by Trump’s campaign for speaking. Calls to “defund the police,” a boycott of Goya Foods and the threat of socialism turned off some Latino voters. And even using the term Latinx to describe Latinos in a way that’s gender-neutral only served to puzzle many Hispanics.

If that's true (which it isn't) I must have a lot of conservative friends.

A 2017 Gallup poll concluded that 4.5% (about 15 mil) of adult Americans identified as LGBT. This suggests that either millions of people came out as LGBTQ since 2017 or you theory is mistaken.

There are approximately 328 mil people in the U.S. It's impossible to say what percentage of this number are conservative verse liberal. Of the  80 mil who voted for Biden most are probably are liberal. If every LGBTQ person is a liberal (which isn't the case because some are conservative), only a small percentage of those liberal voters are LGBTQ.

For sure, even though I didn't agree some of things he did, he did seem to shake up Washington.   He wasn't playing around, and if you didn't do what he said he got rid of you, which is how it should be.  He just lost me after COVID and the protests.  I felt like he failed in his leadership there.  Had he handled that differently, he would still be president.

He could have done almost everything the same, but if he messaged it better and took a bi-partisan approach (even if superficial) he'd be re-elected.

So if someone were going to go through the trouble of fixing an election... and despite having the opportunity/technology/whatever to do so....  why would they not fix it so Mitch and Graham lost as well?  Not to mention some other Senate seats picked up and some House seats retained.

I'm sure there is a perfectly good explanation for this.     Heaven forbid the election is an accurate reflection that the nation thinks Trump was just a shitty President.
