News flash! Key people and their families on both sides were harassed. There are a lot of angry people out there and have been for sometime. The election aftermath really brought this to a head. Georgia Secretary of State, Raffensperger, wife and home have been targeted. This has been an embarrassing and extremely ugly situation. Both Carlson and Raffensperger were doing their jobs and neither they nor their families deserved having this happen. Although Secretary of State is pretty low profile compared to one of FOXNews lead, high profile and very wealthy antagonists.

The point was more about politicians seeing how regular people felt all summer, rather than whether they were left or right.

I did specifically call out the left in this situation however, to make the point that it was their silence and lack of a consistent message denouncing violence & about defunding the police that alienated so many folks.  They didn't even mention it at the convention.

The right consistently condemned the violence.

Trump announces ‘Office of the Former President’


Donald Trump on Monday formally opened his "Office of the Former President" which will "carry on the agenda" of his administration.

The announcement came shortly after House managers delivered the article of impeachment to the Senate Monday night.

According to a statement from the office, it "will be responsible for managing President Trump's correspondence, public statements, appearances, and official activities to advance the interests of the United States, and to carry on the agenda of the Trump Administration through advocacy, organizing, and public activism."

The statement concludes, "President Trump will always and forever be a champion for the American People.

The office is located in Palm Beach County, where Trump now resides.

He was unable to announce the opening of the office on social media, as he is still banned from nearly every platform.

Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, Mitt Romney and Ben Sasse voted with Democrats in the first roll call. Lindsay Graham, a close Trump ally, changed his vote from no to yes after it was clear the motion would pass

It's funny how they say that's the reason Graham changed his vote.

He did it so he can give the Democrats a taste of their own medicine - let's see how many witnesses the Rs call now, possibly including Pelosi, Harris, etc.
