Oh no.... sounds like a really outstanding defense tactic.  I'm sure it will lead to a complete acquittal, total exoneration, and damages of millions awarded to Trumpy.

Or it's just another signal things are going so bigly for the orange guy and this attorney decided to tell the truth and/or decided he won't be taking a fall for the cult leader.   :D

Trump lawyer recuses himself from classified documents case: report

Evan Corcoran, a key member of former President Trump’s legal team, has recused himself from the investigation into Trump’s handling of classified documents after he was questioned by a grand jury last month, according to The Washington Post.

Trump is under investigation by Special Counsel Jack Smith over allegations that he intentionally mishandled classified documents during and after he left office, including storing documents at his Mar-a-Lago home in Florida and hiding them from federal investigators.

Corcoran will still represent Trump in other cases, including Smith’s investigation into the former president’s role in the Jan. 6 insurrection.

He spoke to a grand jury last month after a court ruled that his communications with the former president did not fall under attorney-client privilege.

Why does he want their names?  Judge pimp slapped him instead.

"...Trump's renewed effort to require that prospective jurors provide their names, employment and 38 other pieces of information on written questionnaires."

Trump wants any potential juror in his trial to provide more personal information than he did to run for president.   :D

Judge rejects Trump's bid to learn juror names at defamation trial

Donald Trump will not learn the identities of jurors expected to decide at an upcoming civil trial whether the former president defamed the writer E. Jean Carroll, who also claims Trump raped her.

U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan in Manhattan on Friday rejected Trump's renewed effort to require that prospective jurors provide their names, employment and 38 other pieces of information on written questionnaires.

Kaplan said the law was "abundantly clear" it was his choice whether to use questionnaires, and nothing has changed his decision to seat an anonymous jury at the April 25 trial, reflecting the threat of juror harassment.

WHY is this whiner so scared of what Pence may say?   You would think he would want his second in charge talking up for him since he didn't do anything wrong.   Why is he so scared?   8)

I’ve never seen a supposedly innocent person fight so hard and spend so much of other people’s money to block people from testifying or stall cases he is innocent in from proceeding to trial. It’s truly remarkable.   :D

Trump Asks Appeals Court to Immediately Block Pence Grand Jury Testimony

Donald Trump has asked a federal appeals court in Washington to immediately block a subpoena for grand jury testimony from former Vice President Mike Pence.

The former president’s lawyers filed the request on Friday under seal, but the public docket shows they asked the court to vacate the underlying order or at least stop prosecutors from enforcing the subpoena while they pursue a full appeal. The appeal, which is largely under seal but previously confirmed by Bloomberg News, was filed on April 10.

The US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit has rebuffed Trump’s earlier efforts to halt grand jury subpoenas from Justice Department Special Counsel Jack Smith’s office in its investigation into efforts to undermine the 2020 presidential election.

Pence had originally lodged a separate challenge to the subpoena but decided not to appeal the ruling on that from a federal district judge. The order is under seal, but Pence’s team described it as an overall win on the constitutional privilege he argued should apply to the role he played on Jan. 6, 2021, as the president of the Senate.

Biden has more knowledge and thus better policies ? name one ?????

Im fairly certain Biden Understands a president has a maximum of 8 years or 2 terms. Trump on the other hand believes he has earned an additional 4 years/ 12 years total. Is that sufficient?

How is that #fraud #winning coming along?  Out of all the bonehead attempts to overturn the election, this just *HAS* to be the stupidest.  I mean, the real electors were probably listed somewhere as, you know.... being the real electors.  And it wasn't these idiots.

All these Trumpturds want to talk about election fraud, but don't want to address the real fraud attempts.  Why is that?

Trump’s Fake Georgia Electors Are Now Ratting on Each Other

The fake GOP electors in Georgia that former President Donald Trump recruited as part of his failed attempt to stay in power are starting to point fingers at each other, court documents revealed on Tuesday.

Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, the Atlanta-area prosecutor who’s investigating Trump’s effort to upend American democracy there, laid out the details in a legal memo to a state judge—one that hints at criminal indictments to come.

According to the memo, prosecutors in July last year dangled immunity deals for “alternate electors” who were willing to cooperate with the investigation—but their defense lawyer is now accused of never telling them about the potential deal.

Following a special purpose grand jury recommendation in December that the DA seek indictments against some people involved in the fraudulent scheme, investigators have turned up the pressure.

It turns out, these Republican officials and political operatives are now starting to squirm, identifying illegal behavior by their colleagues while trying to save their own skin—a sudden pivot that came when Willis’ investigators met with these fake electors last week.

Wednesday and Friday, “some of the electors stated that another elector… committed acts that are violations of Georgia law and that they were not party to these additional acts,” Willis explained in her court filing.

10 More Fake Georgia Electors Warned They Could Face Criminal Charges

That description means that certain Republicans are now identifying crimes committed by a colleague while distancing themselves from that criminal behavior.

But that situation has created what Willis calls “an impracticable and ethical mess,” because 10 of these fake electors are being represented by a single Atlanta defense lawyer—who can’t possibly advocate for clients who are simultaneously ratting each other out. The DA’s office is using those details to make the case that the judge should intervene and disqualify that defense lawyer, Kimberly Bourroughs Debrow, citing a conflict of interest.

The DA also accused Debrow of highly unethical behavior, noting how several fake electors interviewed last week revealed that they’d never been told about the potential immunity deals—because Debrow never conveyed the message. The DA said that failure “is in direct conflict” with what Debrow’s fellow defense lawyer, Holly A. Pierson, told the judge in August last year.

Debrow, a former local prosecutor in a neighboring county, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Pierson, a former federal prosecutor, called the allegations “entirely false” and said the court has documents that undermine the DA’s previous attempts to disqualify the defense lawyers.

“Sadly, the DA's office continues to seem more interested in media attention, trampling on the constitutional rights of presumptively innocent citizens, and recklessly defaming its perceived opponents than in the facts, the law, or the truth,” Pierson said in a statement.

The DA’s filing on Tuesday is the first indication of who exactly will get hit with criminal charges when Willis seeks an indictment through an Atlanta grand jury—which is expected in the coming weeks.

Debrow represents 10 of the 11 fake electors in question. That list includes Mark Amick, Joseph Brannan, Brad Carver, Vikki Consiglio, John Downey, Carolyn Fish, Kay Godwin, Cathy Latham, Shawn Still and Chandra “C.B.” Yadav.

Fulton County DA Wants to Hear From Mark Meadows and Sidney Powell Over 2020 Election Interference

The list is a “who’s who” of Georgia politics. Amick, Consiglio, and Still have been members of the Georgia Republican Foundation, a fundraising group that attends VIP dinners and touts connections to Trump and his associates. Carver is a lobbyist who serves as the GOP’s chairman in Georgia's 11th congressional district. Brannan is the state’s GOP treasurer. Fisher is the state GOP’s first vice chairwoman. Godwin is an activist who founded Georgia Conservatives in Action. Yadav worked on Kelly Loeffler’s failed Senate bid.

Meanwhile, Latham was previously the top GOP official in a rural Georgia County who coordinated a secret operation to have conspiracy theorists examine local election system computers in early 2021—one that was exposed by The Daily Beast and is now under investigation.

During an hour-long interview last year, she lied repeatedly about her role in putting together the covert mission, which involved having computer forensics experts charter a private plane to the small town and enter a county building to tap into government servers. But text messages and public records revealed she was central to orchestrating the plan.

Now that some of these Republicans seem willing to expose their colleagues’ roles in the fake elector scheme, Debrow’s connections to them “poses a serious risk to the fundamental principle of confidentiality of information,” the DA argued. Willis asked Judge Robert C.I. McBurney to block Debrow “from any further participation” in the case, given that she knows too much already about what others have done.

Willis is leading what is widely considered the most clear-cut criminal investigation of Trump’s Big Lie in 2020, when he used his presidential campaign and lawyers to conduct an all-out assault on the nation’s elections system. Her investigation initially focused on Trump’s menacing Jan. 2, 2021 phone call to Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, where he pressured the elections official to “find 11,780 votes.” That investigation has since expanded to review the actions across the state to undermine the 2020 elections there.

If it works the first time, hit the idiots with it again.  The good news is that these cards will look good in the Trumpy Presidential Library.  Next to the coloring books and Sharpie markers.

---
“I am pleased to inform you that, due to the great success of my previously launched DIGITAL TRADING CARDS, we are doing it again, SERIES 2, AVAILABLE RIGHT NOW,” he announced Tuesday on Truth Social.

Series 2 is no less embarrassing than the first NFT batch. It includes images of Trump as a bow hunter decked out in camouflage, as an Elvis-inspired rock star, as Washington crossing the Delaware, as a guy in an American flag apron grilling hot dogs next to a black lab, and more.

The cards are on sale for $99, and Trump has preemptively attacked the media for failing to praise him as a “nice guy” for not jacking up the price after the first set sold out. “I hope everyone notices, & I’m sure the Fake News won’t, that I’m leaving the price of the Trading Cards the same as last time, even though they are selling for MANY TIMES MORE (It’s called the MARKET!), & sold out almost immediately, because I want my fans & supporters to make money, & have fun doing it,” the former president griped. “I could have raised the price MUCH HIGHER, & I believe it still would have sold well, with a lot more money coming to me, but I didn’t choose to do so. I WILL BE GIVEN NO ‘NICE GUY’ CREDIT?”

Trump is running to be the 47th president of the United States, and so is promising to have dinner with anyone who buys 47 cards. The whole enterprise, like most of Trump’s enterprises, reeks of griftespecially considering Trump has a long history of teasing potential small-dollar donors with similar meals and then not appearing to deliver.

The second series of tacky digital trading cards will probably sell out like the first one did given that Trump has cultivated a cult out of millions of Americans ready to give their money to the wealthy con artist they’ve been duped into thinking gives a shit about them. He’s a man who is also running for president despite multiple criminal cases over his potentially illegal financial dealings, and who has convinced his followers that this legal peril somehow makes him even more qualified to represent their interests. He wants them to vote him into the White House for a second time, but first — and perhaps even more — he wants them to spend $99 for a digital image of himself wearing American-flag chaps as he plays an electric guitar atop a motorcycle.

Musk said he’d prefer “just a normal person as president, a normal person with common sense and whose values are smack in the middle of the country.”

Trump appeared displeased.

“I don’t believe Elon Musk voted for Biden, not for a minute!” he wrote on his Truth Social platform. “He told me that he voted for me, but who knows about that, and who cares?”

hahahaha...  what a surprise.  (not really)

When will Trumpturd idiots realize that there was no election fraud.   The only election tampering was done by Trump, his attorneys, the fake electors in trying to overturn a fair and legal election.

But don't worry, no one has forgotten about them.   :D
---
Second Trump-hired firm found 2020 fraud claims were ‘all false’

A second firm hired by the Trump campaign to investigate fraud in the 2020 election said all of Trump’s fraud claims were false, the firm’s founder told The Washington Post

The Trump campaign hired Simpatico Software Systems and its founder, Ken Block, to investigate fraud claims all over the country after the 2020 election.

“No substantive voter fraud was uncovered in my investigations looking for it, nor was I able to confirm any of the outside claims of voter fraud that I was asked to look at,” he told the Post. “Every fraud claim I was asked to investigate was false.”

Block said he recently met with special counsel Jack Smith, the federal investigator into Trump’s efforts to overturn the 2020 election.

Campaign finance records show the campaign paid Block’s firm about $750,000, starting just days after the election.

A similar firm, Berkeley Research Group, was hired by the Trump campaign to investigate fraud claims. Like Simpatico, Berkeley did not find evidence of fraud or that the election was stolen.

A Trump spokesperson did not address claims in the Post report, but he did deride its findings.

“This is nothing more than a targeted, politically motivated witch hunt against President Trump concocted to try and prevent the American people from returning him to the White House,” spokesperson Steven Cheung said. “Just like all the other fake hoaxes thrown at President Trump, this corrupt effort will also fail.”

Block did not specify which claims his firm investigated or what methods he used, citing Smith’s investigation.

He has repeatedly spoken publicly that Trump’s claims were false, recently cheering on a court order that MyPillow CEO and conservative figure Mike Lindell must pay up a $5 million promise to a man who disproved his false election conspiracies.

At least the Rs are having debates.

Biden announced his candidacy on April 25, 2023. Your post is dated April 28, 2023. Although Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Marianne Williamson, a bestselling author and spiritualist, have announced they are running, no major figures within the current Democratic establishment have indicated a challenge to Biden for the 2024 nomination.

Incidentally, the Republican supposed front runner claimed in a Truth Social post that he may not debate because the RNC had the temerity to announce plans for two debates recently without “the approval of the Trump Campaign.”

For a pre-COVID comparison, in the 2016 primary the first Democratic debate was October 13, 2015. The first Republican debate was August 3, 2015. This time around, in February 2023 the RNC scheduled their first debate for August 2023.

Toughest person in politics ever.  After everything Trump has endured since he first announced his presidential candidacy in 2015, whether or not you believe it's his own fault, he just keeps on coming back for more.  Anyone else would have just quit and disappeared from the public eye long ago.

hahahaha.  The judge just stopped the attorney from dragging on and on, asking repetitious questions that had already been answered and trying to include things that he was told in advance would not be allowed.

A desperate move by a desperate man.  This motion should be as successful as his other attempts in court to forge an outcome in his favor.

If he had submitted his DNA years ago and proved what was on her dress wasn't his, then he wouldn't be in this position.  He would have proven his innocence, crushed her publicly and then sued her back and won.  But he didn't do that.  Why not?  What's to hide?

---
Donald Trump has requested a mistrial in a civil case where the writer E. Jean Carroll is accusing him of rape and defamation, claiming that the judge made a series of unfair and prejudicial rulings against him.

In an 18-page letter filed early Monday in Manhattan federal court, Trump's lawyer Joe Tacopina accused U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan of being biased against the former U.S. president, including in the jury's presence.

He said the effect of Kaplan's rulings "manifests a deeper leaning towards one party over another," including in comments where the judge "openly expresses favoritism."

Tacopina said if a mistrial were not granted, Kaplan should correct the record and give him more freedom to cross-examine Carroll.
