Fresh off the pec tear. Not as shredded as '92 but still good enough.

Was marked down by the judges because apparently he came in 6 pounds too heavy and no he wasn't (same thing happened to Paul Dillett that year). Also, if I'm not mistaken, he tore his pec POST Mr. O 1993 and made his comeback at the 1994 Arnold where he won it.

To be honest in 1996 I believe he beat flex wheeler to win the Arnold Classic but flex should have won it was clearly at a time when levrone was being given political nods!

Kevin was his heaviest competing weight ever at the 1996 Arnold's (259 pounds). He deserved to win on that alone ;-)

His physique looked off. Kevin gained too much weight in 1993 and looked soft compared to 1992.

Sonangetbigger is saying a bloated and more sized Kevin deserved the win over flex! Make
Up your minds are you twink lovers or real iron pumpers who know bodyfat percent has nothing to do with size and strength!

LEVRONE's decline: 2000 - 2003
« Reply #13 on: December 30, 2016, 07:02:29 AM »
Size-wise, Kevin's high water mark was the '97 Olympia and GP circuit, after that he slowly declined. Furthermore, his insistence to "come off" during downtime resulted in a variety of different physiques throughout these last years. Some shows he would come in grossly undersized, like the '99 ASC, other times he looked close to his '90s form ('01 Grand Prix). What year did you think is his best? I'll make a reply for each year, so give me some time.

2000 his upper body was still huge, but his legs were starting to decline. His waist was also unusually big this year, making his legs appear smaller.

2001 is my personal favourite, and he actually looked great at the Grand Prix shows (last pic). Legs were about on par with 2000, but he came in lighter.

Kev's 2002 package gets a lot of love (no homo) but by this point his legs were way too small. In fact, he looked thin and stringy even next to an off Ronnie.

Levrone suffered a triceps tear a few weeks out of the 2003 Olympia, but he still brought a package more or less on par with '02, albeit with even worse legs. He still looked amazing in his trademark shots.

That was when he started to have knee problems and could not squat or use heavy weight so his legs started to decline.

By 1999/2000, Levrone was trying to be a rock star.

He played a rock song at the 2000 NOC

I thought he had a bad back - what kind of knee problems... something severe?

It was back problems, he never said he had knee problems back then, it's just now he's placed so poorly he's using that as an excuse

He was squatting way back then and even in this olympia, there's vids of it

'99 vs '03, basically (close to) his biggest to his worst showing. Upper body isn't that far behind but the legs are in another league.

I love how kevin changes up his hairstyle and pant stuffing to give out a different look each show. So artistic.
