Actually my grandpa had a"pet" black bear... Wasn't very big but scared the shit outta  me when I was a kid (like 7-8?). He was a butcher and owned a meat locker in a small town. Kept the bear back in a super cold room (not the freezing meat locker though) behind a huge 2inch thick steel door with a little square window. Bear slept on a metal shelf. Lol

He gets fucked up. And in real life it would have been worse than depicted in the movie. You could take $10 million - $1 billion to fight a bear without any weapons but it won't do you much good once you're dead a few seconds later!

once i saw a grizzly at a german zoo. That thing is a monster, my entire head could easily enter its mouth. Minutes later stood next to a polar bear with a glass fence... It was taller and longer than the grizzly. Look a lot bigger than a lion.

It depends. What type of bear are you talking about? Brown? Black? Etc.

Brown bears tend to be much bigger than black bears.

When I was staying at hazbins I went deep into the Rockies looking to fight a bear. I put it all on video and posted it on here. At least ohh 5 or 6 years ago. I was fully committed to fighting it (hoping it would be a black bear). Never found one but saw some other cool stuff

There's a doco from 2005 called 'grizzly man' about a guy who thought he could interact with grizzly bears (and did, mostly out of dumb luck it would seem, for several years) and filmed 100s of hours of this interaction. Want to guess how he died? It's a bit touchy feely, but it does give a fairly good insight into the sheer size of these predators.
