This thread made me want to compare how well made in China products work compared to Made in USA products work, but I couldn't find any products that were made in USA.

China makes crap with slave wages.  The computers and phones they make were engineered in the US. Further their factories to make the phones are closely monitored by the US and other countries companies selling the stuff. China can't even figure out how to make a decent car. They claim to fame is that they buy Korean cars and take them apart and re manufacture them under a phony name like they designed it. They have a serious problem with engineering innovation.  They are very good at duplicating other people's work.

I was told a tale from a wartziller rep they moved there thruster manufacturing factory from Holland to china, out of every ten units made 4 need to be scrapped, all need to be stripped down and double checked...and its still cheaper to do this than build them in Europe with virtualy zero return's

Why would I want to spend $300 for a backpack? Oh right, because it's bombproof. That will come in handy.

Lifetime guarantee for any repairs, quality product that outperforms most in its category.

But, are you still having trouble finding any American made products?   You said you couldn't find any.
