My 2 cents on Gay rights protests and pride parades, etc
« on: December 30, 2016, 11:13:19 AM »
I'm a libertarian at heart and don't think anyone should be harassed or hurt for their sexuality.
But, most gay activists and pride parades make me sick to my stomach.

For example, I recently saw this gay rights activists protesting in Russia.
He was a thin twink , dancing around with some sign and  goofy face on a stick mask.

In theory I'd agree with the dude, but watching him prance around , makes me sick.

Why do so many activists at this demonstrations look like freaks ?

I agree and even most of my gay friends thinks these demonstrations and parades make them look bad. Truth is, they're not "harassed" or discriminated against anymore than anyone else and if they are (anyone) it's usually because they brought it on themselves.

You are 100% toxic, brother.

And to think, I used to be like you.  Glad I changed!

People do all sorts of crazy things whether they are watching or participating in parades. It's not exclusively gay folks or gay parades.

If you don't like gay pride parades, don't watch them. It's just that simple.

Not all "twinks" are gay and not all gay people are "twinks."

There are other types of parades besides Gay Pride parades.

I'm talking specifically about "pride" parades. Is there a Vegetarian Pride parade for example? Or a Short Pride parade?

If you see news , you'll see a few activists engaged in whatever.
Look, I'm all for equality and treating everyone with dignity.
But it's hard to look dignified or be taken serious when you're wearing ass-less chaps.

Bingo!

They demand to be respected and treated like anyone else.
But it's tough to fit in, when you're dressed up for a Village People reunion.

How's that possible.
a) gay is banned in russia
b) protests are banned in russia

Not sure but twinks could be banned too

First off, your post assume that people want to hear your 2 cents and of course they don't.  Secondly, I've never been to any parade...gay or straight...where there hasn't been any people that were dressed up and prancing around.

Stick to something that you're good at...which is eating Pringles and watching The Late Show with your wife.  If you wish to spout your opinions, then start a podcast show like I did.

Ass-less chaps -- dignified, no; taken seriously, depends on location and whose looking.

-Not much of a parade person myself. The only parade I've taken part in is Portland's Aids Walk. Participants come from all walks of life. The point of it is to raise AIDS awareness and money to operate Our house.

1. On June 30, 2013, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed into law a bill banning the "propaganda of nontraditional sexual relations to minors."  It is not illegal to be homosexual in Russia, but it can be dangerous.

2. In June 2012, Moscow courts enacted a hundred-year ban on gay pride parades.

Not exactly a "twink" but this bisexual performer lives and performs in Moscow.

I simply gave my honest personal opinion on this open forum.
You as an openly gay man got defensive about it.

See Vince that cuts to the heart of the issue.
Myself and , most of society will support equal treatment for gays in terms of jobs, housing, etc.
BUT, we will never fully understand it or accept it as normal, desirable behavior.
I'm sorry, but those like me, will never think being gay is A-ok.
FYI, that's why I agree with laws protecting equal rights for gays.
It's because we'll never understand or like it that they need to insure legal protection. Understand?

It is my sincere belief, that the majority of sexual acts should be done in the privacy of one's home.
That goes for gay, straight, whatever...I'm just being honest.
The fact is, seeing 2 male cowboys making out, causes me to get sick to my stomach.
Having said that, I'd be the first to say they had a right to do as they pleased, in private.

Happy New Year Vince and I do respect you as a fellow bodybuilder and human being.

I don't give a shit if you get offended by 2 cowboys kissing as you prob watched Brokeback Mountain too many times fantasizing about your legs up in the air gettting fucked in a tent.  You can work that out with your local therapist.  The problem is that you're placing a special standard on gay parades that's not on any other parade in addition to concluding that the people who dress like weirdos are the de facto definition of what a gay person is.

Its a parade, Howard....a celebration.  Its not a congressional hearing.  That's like telling the Irish that they can't wear green and dress like leprechauns in the St Patricks Day Parade.  Once again, you fail to understand the reality of thing

As far as your comment about you and your society???  Why the fuck should I care about your society's acceptance for??  That's why your life is so miserable, Howard.  You live in a society of sheep
