If Ronda ever wants to come back...
« on: December 31, 2016, 07:00:57 AM »
She doesnt need no boxing training, no wrestling. No judo or BJJ or Mu Thai. She doesn't need advice from fighters, she doesn't need advice from fight game trainers.
What she needs to do is ask bodybuilders, ideally with tattoos. They know more about fighting than anyone  ::) ::) ::)

I think she needs time with a good sports psychologist other than that she's done and it all mental. This is the equivalent to a golfer or a catcher getting the yips. Very difficult to break and is rarely curable.

She's done.  Mentally and emotionally broken.  She believed her own hype.  Losing isn't a problem, fighters lose, people get over it.

The problem is that she got fucking smashed twice in a row, worst case scenario.  Then she didn't lose gracefully.  You can't go into hiding and refuse to talk to the press after a loss.

A lot of people have lost respect for her, even fans that had been in her corner since the beginning.  I hope she saved her money because being Ronda Rousey isn't going to get her into movies anymore.

Dear god no Rousey porn. Jesus thats just a terrible thought.

She's not as good as the competition is now. It has been a short period but it just took getting them out of the wood work. Rhonda is obviously excellent at Judo and was trained with the right drive. But she is missing the rest of the tools, oh and can't take a punch…

She will probably try and kill herself again tonight.

Sums it up .

She was great for awhile, but the top girls know her weakness now and can flat out strike a lot better.

Yeah, they are idiots.  Honestly, every single one of them.

It isn't a crime to be absolutely devastated after a loss and it isn't disrespectful to be overcome with grief so much that she cannot talk.

None of that is disrespectful at all.

Sport is littered with people who are far far fucking worse than someone who is demonstrably unable to fathom a loss but makes no statement of petulance and simply dashes out to hide her grief.  No sour grapes, nothing.  RR keeping her mouth shut and getting out of there is nothing, absolutely nothing.

What is disrespectful in my mind is how most people know this - they know that RR isn't a bad person and she wasn't thinking about disrespecting her opponent.  Everybody fucking knows that RR is dashing out of there to have a cry, yet they all place this requirement that she do it in public.

Those who hate RR, a lot of what they are hating has nothing to do with her.. they're hating on this persona that has been created by a marketing team.  I feel very sorry for her because it is impossible for her to fight without it being built up to the point where it just isn't acceptable to lose.  Where any loss means that the press are retiring you.

I truly hate seeing RR fight, because it's steeped in so much bullshit that has nothing to do with her.  It is good to see that the women's division is slowly reaching "the truth" in terms of what type of fighter should dominate, though.

I'm a bodybuilder. I have tattoos. I fight. Fought since '02? Last 2 fights I fought under 200lbs (193 & 197 I think? If been "off" everything for a long time & fought coming off a dislocated ankle... Biz was slow & needed cash). Got knocked out 2 weekends in a row & fucked up my eye lol. Both to smaller guys. First guy was about 170. Threw simultaneous high kicks. Landed the knuckle of my foot on his cheekbone and his shin landed on my skull. Both went down. Open my eyes and I'm sitting down and see the dude holdi g his face and I'm thinking I won. Nope. Lol. Did break his orbital bone though and won $200. :/ 2nd one I was in full mount & for some reason I wanted a key-lock..... And dude clipped me on the chin and I was out. That time I knew I was out. Lol dude was smaller than the 1st guy. Fighting a week after getting knocked out want a good idea.

I'm going to respectfully disagree with you.  Her persona and her dominance is what was selling her.  Now she looks like a mentally weak fighter whose skills have been bypassed by others.  Hard to come back from that.  Probably impossible, even if she did want to keep fighting....which she doesn't.

I'm a Ronda fan so it pains me to say this, but I think it's the truth.  This is the business that they've chosen and it can be harsh.  If it was easy, everyone would do it.

She spent quite a bit of time eating but a good part of a year on her striking. Time has just passed her by. She used to work her way in, grab them, flip them over, grab an arm, and just lock it in. The girls have just gotten so much better. Rhonda just stood there and ate everything.

she is always disrespectful of her opponents , she doesnt shake hands or touch gloves.
she breaks arms when a submission is adequate for the win.

Shame Herb Dean jumped in, she deserved a few more full on face strikes.
