A lot of people have lost respect for her, even fans that had been in her corner since the beginning. I hope she saved her money because being Ronda Rousey isn't going to get her into movies anymore.
Yeah, they are idiots. Honestly, every single one of them.
It isn't a crime to be absolutely devastated after a loss and it isn't disrespectful to be overcome with grief so much that she cannot talk.
None of that is disrespectful at all.
Sport is littered with people who are far far fucking worse than someone who is demonstrably unable to fathom a loss but makes no statement of petulance and simply dashes out to hide her grief. No sour grapes, nothing. RR keeping her mouth shut and getting out of there is nothing, absolutely nothing.
What is disrespectful in my mind is how most people know this - they know that RR isn't a bad person and she wasn't thinking about disrespecting her opponent. Everybody fucking knows that RR is dashing out of there to have a cry, yet they all place this requirement that she do it in public.
Those who hate RR, a lot of what they are hating has nothing to do with her.. they're hating on this persona that has been created by a marketing team. I feel very sorry for her because it is impossible for her to fight without it being built up to the point where it just isn't acceptable to lose. Where any loss means that the press are retiring you.
I truly hate seeing RR fight, because it's steeped in so much bullshit that has nothing to do with her. It is good to see that the women's division is slowly reaching "the truth" in terms of what type of fighter should dominate, though.
