Might be. It all comes down to genes of course, as someone already pointed out.

From what I have observed Mr. Buffett is very passionate, active, always learning and interested of things, enjoying life and cracking jokes here and there. He has young attitude. Many people - especially men - become bored fucks waiting for death latest at my age. That can't be good for your health either.

I think it's something "coded" in him.
He started by working very hard: delivering newspapers and investing the money and all that shit. Maybe after becoming super rich he was not able to let off the lifestyle anymore. It had grown into him.
I got impression he just enjoys making money and doesn't care too much what the money can buy.

He has invested in the Chinese  car company BYD (Build Your Dreams). It makes crappy cars and mediocre electric cars, but it also makes electric buses. BYD's buses are in California and in London.

I've once had a short chat with IKEA's founder Ingvar Kamprad, and he has pretty much the same lifestyle. He drives (or was driving?) a 20+ year old Volvo and was often eating at his local IKEA store. He was pretty down to earth and wasn't surrounded by guards.

The thing about him is we probably will never see him sick. If he doesn't just drop dead, he'll probably go into hiding never to be seen again. Ronald Reagan was sent into hiding for over a decade to help preserve his "legacy".
