1993 flex is what bbing is about

Kevin and flex's physiques were apples to oranges, very different frames as Kevin could carry more mass but flex was much better lighter

totally agree when flex was in shape he looked way better than levrone,   and kevin could never match dorian or ronnie in size and conditioning.

bevo there are alot of levro retards on this forum he get butt hurt when you point out, kevin is doing all these retarded videos

so sell his shitty supplements in europe.    they cant accept the fact he's broke with no job skills and refused to get a normal job

his entire life

prime phil would beat levrone,  i always thought he looked his best in 1992 and never was able to duplicate his conditioning

92 was his best as far as what i would actually want to look like, but that 92 body would not win any contest after 92 because it was too small

Even his prime he wasn't that good, his rear double biceps was awful, yes his front on upper body was sick but he wasn't on colemans level, and Kai and a few others would beat him in his prime

I like his 97-98 look

his rear double bi wasn't awful, it just wasn't as good as a few other elite guys

kai's body is a bunch of huge body parts put together to form an ugly mess

if he would beat Mr. Levrone in the 90's, that would explain why this sport went to shit, not one person would ever choose looking like kai over him

i like flex but he was overrated especially in 93, super heavyweight arms with a middle weight chest, also a bit frail looking he didn't look strong

Would love to hear Kevin speak on Wellness Fitness Nutrition in light of the big bust today.  He was one of their if not their biggest endorsers.

Exactly the point. There's always some issue with Levrones physique, be it size or lines, to shape and conditioning, that prevented him from securing wins.

And against pros today... It's not even close.

he won 20 pro shows which i think is only 2nd to ronnie, so he had no more issues with his physique than anybody else

you say he's overrated, actually he's underrated based on your standards

pros today look like shit

By my standards? Do elaborate... Recall saying Levrone is overrated.

And if you really want to have some fun, post your favorite photo of Kevin that you think could compete with Phil.

you said it yesterday in the "most impressive physique ever" thread, you really forget?

i posted several pics in that thread that beat phil, phil only beats 90's Mr. Levrone in back double bicep , phil's back is more detailed but it isn't wider

If Levrone was better than Ronnie, he would've won. Not placed 2nd twice, and 4th a couple times... How many chances did he need to beat Ronnie?

so he's "overrated" because he lost to ronnie?

No. He's overrated due to his hype. His physique never claimed "best in the world".

Plus, if you took a poll of the best bodybuilders of all time... Top 5... Do you really think that he would be included in this poll today?

(By others standards; not your personal bias towards him for whatever reason)

I mean, if we were talking about best sock stuffer in posing trunks, then Kevin might be best in the world. Or second to that gent who put a tennis tube in his trunks

apparently you think plenty of people would include him in the poll, why else would you think he's overrated?

chris dickerson and franco can claim they were best in the world, they weren't better than him

i think he is by far the best of the guys that didn't get the O, not even debatable in my eyes

he has the most pro wins, longevity placing 2nd in his rookie year in 92 and 2nd again 10 years later, and 4 olympia runner ups to back up that claim

Flex, Shawn Ray, Lee Priest, Kevin - are they in the same category for you? ( best to not win )

Flex, Shawn Ray, Lee Priest, Kevin - are they in the same category for you? ( best to not win )

they were great but they're worse, none of them looked as good and they had inferior overall careers

lee priest?  really?

shawn looked amazing standing by himself but small standing next to those guys, never deserved better than 4th place at the O and it was easy to look his best at the O because it was the only show he did most years, only 2 pro wins compared to Mr. Levrone's 20

chris cormier was much better, he's the most underrated pro ever

nasser was also underrated i think he should've been mr. o in 96 and 97

flex was great but people overrate his 93 body, he had super heavyweight arms with a middle weights chest and didn't look strong overall, in late 90's he looked better because he looked stronger, too much oil though and much less consistent throughout his career

Good post, but I think youre unfair to Ray. If Dexter  can win an an Olympia I think Ray deserves some more consideration.
