Physique show in my town in seven weeks.
« on: March 05, 2017, 06:17:01 PM »
Since there will be like one competitor in my weight class, I can enter and get an automatic ticket to provincials.  ;D

I could get back to this in about three weeks.  So I would have four weeks to do something with this physique.  I guess I would run something also, but being guaranteed a weight class trophy and only doing it for fun, there is not much pressure.

I see the similarity.  :-X

I actually look more like Jason Biggs.  His family is from the same part of Italy as my family!

Thank you.

I am thinking of doing the normal 3-5 workouts a week + add in cardio.  From there, increase my protein and decrease my carbs and add a fat-burner or something else.

I don't expect to be a serious contender, but I do expect to show up in shape.

I just want to show up in respectable shape.  I have no intention of doing well at provincials.

What do you mean "I would run something also"?

Are you not natural?

Should we fear for your health?

Rofl - well, using a loose definition of run.

I meant like a cycle of ephedrine.  Nothing crazy.  Or yeah - I could run something.  Anavar?  ???

My intention is not to look good, but just to be clearly in shape.

You look like shit.

Hope this helps.

Only compared to you.

However, I may be entering a class of one.  ;D

Just a guaranteed trophy and the opportunity to commit to a project and get in somewhat decent shape over the next seven weeks.  I look roughly as I do in the photo above, most of the time.  I can raise that a little, with some carb restriction and cardio, no?  ???

It would just be to see how I look with a bit more discipline.  A trophy would basically be guaranteed, and it would just be for fun.

Why bother doing the show if you don't try to win?

Why bother doing the show if you don't try to win?

This wil be the first time I ever commit to a project such as this.  Since I only have seven weeks, it won't seem as gruelling.  Maybe it will start me on cutting phases, and I can become less of a permabulker?  :-X  That could be a good thing.  I think seeing as it is only seven weeks until the contest, I will likely commit to cut for it - which will make me a little leaner than the photo in this thread for sure.  And I have never really been leaner than that before.  I have had the same/similar body composition for much of my life.  I would like to commit to a contest, and rather than wait to "do it right", why not just DO IT PERIOD, and come in decent shape.

Keep in mind, I go to the Canada Games Complex in my city and I am basically the most in-shape person in the facility when I go swimming.  I know by real bodybuilding standards I look bad, but to the general public, I am an in-shape person, and I would like to bring that up a level.  I think I will look better, although obviously not as good as serious competitors such as nzmusclemonster.

;D

I am currently 169.9-lb.  My bench press in the gym is 350.  My squat was 385 in December, but that was probably my last squat session also.  ;D :-X

Deadlift is around 450 or so right now.  I doubt I could pull 475 right now.

Barbell curls - probably the same as they were in high school - 100-lb barbell for 8-12.

So in a nutshell, I am "in shape", by normal people standards.

 :-X

I would like to take it up a level, and I think starting a cutting diet at seven weeks out at the age of 35 would be a cool way to do it - to do something different.  My friends would be impressed.  I think seven weeks would be no major issue to commit to, as opposed to 12 to 16 weeks.

In other words, I think the odds of me quitting prematurely would be low, and I think I can get results in this area, for the first time in my life.

By run something, I mean ephedrine or a strong IronMagLabs supplement or... ??? ??? ;) ;D.  Anything really.  Why not?  It's for seven weeks.

And once again, after getting my fertility test results back with a total sperm count of 1.162 billion, I am not particularly concerned about fertility.  Not to take it for granted, but I think it should be clear I am drug-free, but I am not necessarily opposed to taking something.  Again, it's seven weeks, and a "one and done" type of thing.  :P

Interesting...

Any recommendations to help that along?

I would not expect to look like you - but to look my personal best would be great!

I will be in a class of one, so it's no major pressure.  It is basically a guaranteed qualification to provincials, but I am unlikely to compete there.

basically just eat less but eat more once every 4 or 5 days to get some more energy back

not sure how low my cals were on low days but probably less than 2 grand and i trained twice a day

the only thing i would have changed is to take in more protien coz i was maybe getting 1 gram per pound max and i've read a few articles that recomend getting in 1.4 grams per pound when in caloire defict

Maybe they give a tub of fart powder along with the trophy.

Well worth the effort.

First - good luck, I wish you well, hope you have fun.

Second - why is a 35yr old checking his sperm levels?

Third - I love the note about "method of collection - masturb4tion".... what are the alternatives!?!?  ???

I see a lot of similarities between you and jason genova physique maybe you could ask him and big lenny for help with your prep.

Thanks for the feedback, everyone!

I just want to show up a little leaner than the OP photo.  Nothing special - just be in shape for a seven week diet - and be in the shape of my life.  It's funny how someone looking out of shape by competitive bodybuilding standards may well be in the shape of his life.  To surpass the OP photo by even a small margin would mean I am in the shape of my life - which I suspect I will be.

This was for a little/demo bench press contest I was in, in 2015.  It was held at the Central Canada Outdoor & Recreation Show:
