Tinder is pretty much hit or miss. I would say about 1/3 of the profiles are fake(women pretending to be super models to see how much attention they can get) or bots. These profiles are easy to spot because all of their photos are from photo shoots or they are using pictures of known celebrities. 1/3 have no intention of actually meeting anyone and use the app for entertainment or attention. These profiles are also pretty easy to spot because all of their profile pictures are them with their friends and you don't even know which girl is them or they put in their profile description that they just swipe right to pictures of cute dogs. And then there's 1/3 who genuinely want to meet guys to either hook up or date. There are far less fake male profiles so you have 3x more genuine men than women, so the competition is insane. You have to put up the right pictures to stand out somehow or you're fucked.

I think Nickedge is right, like anywhere else it is overloaded with men, especially since a large fraction of the female profiles are bots. It means that if you don't stand out in some way, you simply never get any responses.

Is Tinder bot driven?  I'm seeing the exact same trend.  You pick chicks, get matches and then minutes later they text the same opening line.  "Hey Diablo, How are you?"  Then you chit chat back and forth then they give you a number to text them and all of the area codes are different than the city you live in and supposedly they live in.  Is it all bullshit?

this, checked it out recently with a fake fb page and downloaded tinder. couldnt believe how fake that shit was.
Even in a huge college town, it was 75 percent bots with professional pics. Now they make you pay to scan thru more profiles too, since they know guys are slowly catching on to how fake that shit. anytime I hear of anyone hooking up on that shit, im assuming the chick is a 5 or less (as those were the only real profiles on there)
