That pretty much sums up anyone who beats Shawn ever besides Levrone.
In the hardest era ever. Compared to Dallas's era which up to now is the worst era ever.
Dallas doesn't address the issue of how many people Chad has worked with who are fucked up or dead right now.
He's still young, at some point all the shit he is doing is going to catch up and probably pretty quick.
He lost to Haney when he was starting out... No way was he gonna beat Haney. The Haney's gone and Shawn thinks it's "his time"...

In comes Dorian, in Shawns prime, and Dorian slams the door shut (much like how Flex thought when Dorian was out of the picture).
By the time the other "black bodybuilder" (Ronnie) comes into the picture, Shawn had burned 6years of his prime losing to Dorian, & Ronnie was lightyears ahead of Shawn.
Shawn couldnt even beat Flex or Chris. He was relegated to competing being compared to Lee Priest (a freaky white guy with a bigger fan base) & Levrone. Nasser was on the way out.
... And by the time Ronnie showed a chink in his armour in '01, there was another white, future Mr. Olympia right there waiting and reminding Shawn in '01 that his dream (despite making nearly zero improvements since 1994) just wasn't gonna happen.
