DR. BLAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEEELLL LLLLLYYYYYYY!!!!!!  8) 8) 8)

I have been witness to remarkable weight fluxations such as 13 pounds in a 137 pound female, 15 pounds in a 147 pound male, 21 pounds in a 153 pound male, 22 pounds in a 265 pound male and so forth with no apparent ill effect on strength. Amazing! With this in mind it seems that 7 to 10 pounds is a reasonable expectation and just round that up to 10 for convenience sake. The body has a great capacity to endure dramatic swings in water weight. And, to be certain, I have also witnessed lifters crash and burn with only a slight change of only 4 or 5 pounds. How can some lifters undertake a 15 pound shift and see no detriment to strength and others be decimated by dropping only 5 pounds? I suggest that it's all in the way they go about it.

I'm a numerous time national champion powerlifter, I've been there and done it, if you lose 20lbs in a day you will not perform to your optimum capacity

the record bench in the 59 kg class is 148 kg and 155 kg for the 66 kg class

at the moment i can press 125 kg with a full 2 second pause at the chest

damn! maybe i should start training for the world record baby  8)

Maybe you should -- if it's that easy... ::)

As a former national powerlifting champion & record holder.
I can't fathom why I Didn't just suddenly decide to add 5/10/20+ kilos
To my maximum lifts and break all manner of world records
It's that Easy to do -  ::)

Likewise I can't understand why usain bolt Dosent just run 1/10th of a second quicker
And break his own world record... It's So Easy. - Perhaps you could coach him to do this.

I take it your just kidding or just a Twat.

OP doesn"t even know how to read a ranking page. In the benchpress as single lift category (because OP doesn"t squat nor deadlift), WR in open class is 210kg (463lbs) for the -59kg weight class (130lbs). OP is as far from a WR as goodrum is from being wealthy.

I look at the 155, 170, and 185lbs class in MMA and I'm sure most bodybuilding fans would make fun of their physiques.  That's what a real athletes are built like. Not the fluid retained temporary drug physique of bodybuilders.

Tommy Hearns was an animal. He was around where 4 or 5 hall of fame guys were in the same weight classes at the same time. Check out Hearns vs Hagler.

that record is in open class not masters class

I lift heavy every single day and I have done so for over 4 weeks straight

so if I could take at least one or two days off per week it would help

how many days do you train heavy per week bro?

and what lift and weight class did you have a record in?

You expect to gain 25% or so on you're best lift. With competition rules, dropping 20lbs the day before, first time out.
Best of luck trying, youll need it

Didn't touch it, actually.

Almost did, because he almost failed right before lockout, which is very odd, considering if one was to fail, it's generally sooner in the acceleration phase.

I think he vowed to do more heavy tricep work after, but I don't remember.

Uk.
75kg & 82Kg Squats & Bench.
I swapped from powerlifting to bodybuilding
I lift as heavy as i can every time I train - within the confines of strict form/ achieving close to the number of reps I'm after / Keeping up the intensity.
So the term heavy is very different in my training terms.

I have Irish records and I think my squat is or was a European record, definitely is in the organisation I competed in but that means fuck all tbh. 350kg squat in 110kg raw open men's (18-39)

thanks for the feedback bro

i've dropped 10 before when i made 48's some years ago and it had no ill effect on my bench, this is with the night before weigh-in

as i said i train too much and i train bench very heavy every 3 or 4 days and on the off days i train either heavy barbell curls or weighted chins or deads, so if i'd rest more i'm sure my strength would go up (i also train deads or pin puls every 3 or 4 days)

also my arch is very weak, near flat, so if i can work my arch up to something like this i think i could give it an honest run

;D ;D ;D

and i often don't even get any comps :'(

oh well, as a true narcissit i compliment myself enough already  :D

Do you honestly belief you can just work on maintaining an arch and that this will automatically make you bench more? Who are you trying to fool, besides yourself?? Perhaps give that honest run straight to the pharmacy for your meds.

can you lock-out bench more than you can bench full range?

Yeah, cause that's what an arch does  ::)
