Take off your shirt, if you're wearing one. Hit a front lat spread appearing larger and wider to intimidate said bear and while bear is stunned, hit him with a growling most most muscular. Game over, lights out for the bear. That will show him who's boss.

I would like to hear from ESFitness. He may have some pointers in dealing with 500+ pound behemoths that want to intimidate or eat you. Remember, that one who goes furthest wins. Especially one who doesn't take kindly to disrespect.

The US government is going to bring the Grizzly back to where I live soon. Fortunately I am heavily armed when I go cutting firewood. Still, it makes me a little nervous.

I remember hearing about this in the news three years ago. A nightmarish scenario like something out of a horror movie. A large Grizzly bear smashed the window of a couples home and chased the occupants around their own house. They ran out of their house to escape the bear. The bear caught up with one of them and mauled them to death.

They possibly should have went into a room and locked the door, pushed up furniture and had that rifle ready.
Went the woman ran outside, she was dead. Unless she got to a car or up a very sturdy tree.

I've seen some of those homes which have been "bear proofed". The Windows and doors have thick wooden covers that you can slide and latch from the inside.
