I'm already out of Obama-care and as a (retired) state employee of Ga.
We're one of the states that already has other options approved by the state
I chose a KP-HMO plan now instead of the Blue Cross/ Blue shield state "Obama-care".
I found it a little bit cheaper for me and the state. But, it's 90% the same as before.
However, regardless if this new Trump passes or not, your premiums and coverage will be about the same.
The high risk/previous condition folks will be covered by separate state pools.
That will be paid for via state tax generated revenues. That's what's already done with Obama-care.
At the end of the day, quality health care isn't cheap.
Before Obama-care was passed, HMO's dropped people off roles and raised rates each year.
Call this new plan whatever you want , not much will change for the 90% of us in the middle.
