To be honest i agree about deads. You do them right you will have a strong back the rest of your life. same with deads. I have seen 60yr old and 70yr olds dead and squat and look 20years yound=ger.
any jackass can train upper body all out when they don't train legs or back.

Sars and Goudy are right on.  Don't make excuses Brain....squats and deads are the hardest, which is why u aren't doing them.

You will make huge gains once you add them to your routine.....

I didn't know a drug free 380 bench is weak. ::)

What do you wanna bet I could deadlift 600 by the end of the year? If I post a video of me pulling 600, you have to delete your account. If I fail to post a video by December 31, I will delete my account. Do we have a deal?

agreed in regards to bodybuilding. brianX is stronger than me. however if he did squat and bench even high reps than all lifts would take off. moreover he says he doesnt want to dead or squat cos he will damage back late in life. same could be said about heavy low rep bench presisng and shoulders.

im calling brian on it hes a fake. no way a guy who puts up that much weight wouldnt squat or do deads. this guy probaly maxes out around 275. either that or he has the worst chiken legs and no width in his back.

I think if ur number are what u say they are BRIANX then well done to u bro, gud liftin and keep it up,keep the log goin..its interesting!!

I notice u havnt really got any back work in ur workout?!  MAybe ur one of these guya that really feel pullovers in their back (and i c u use a nautilus pullover machine,iv never seen one so excuse my comments).

It seems a nice solid basic workout,u seem to have most basis covered.
And from what uv told me one week ur benching 3 times a week and military pressing twice, and the other week its the opposite.

Hows the weight loss goin bro??

I'm sending "sarcasm" a pm regarding his comments on this thread. Please continue the log BrianX... many of us are looking forward to your pictures and vicariously enjoying your progress.

Remember people, "sarcasm" has never posted ANY videos or pics of himself, nothing wrong with that... neither have I (yet). However, I'm not a self-confessed steroid user making derogatory remarks regarding natural lifters either.

Don't take "sarcasm" or "lilwoday09smb" too seriously, BrianX. I'll be deleting any further jeering posts from sarcasm in this thread.

lilwoday09smb, you have been warned.

I agree with these gentlemen, do not stop posting because of one person's negative comments.

I used to not post on getbig.com because I knew of the predatory nature of some of the arm chair jockeys that lurk in its shadows.  I then came to realize that by doing so I would be missing out on all of the informative dialogue of the members who have productive comments.

I would like to strees that squats and deadlifts are very important in any workout protocal, be it powerlifting, bench press specialization, bodybuidling, athletic training, and so on.

BUT, you are a man and choose what you do. So if you choose not to take my advice, it would serve no positive function for me to chastise you.  Unfortunately, this is what members like "sarcasm" do not grasp.*

*If you read this "sarcasm," I am not intending on "flaming" you or starting some juvenile, message board-fight.  I would just ask that you consider the feedback you have gotten from fellow members in regards to your recent comments.

About ur lack of squatting and deadlifting,id say it isnt for everyone. I love both but at only 22 have bad lower back, and am gonna have to stay away from both in summer (i use very good form in both so its not down to stupidity of having big ego).
Im gonna have to stay with legpress,DB lunges one legged russian squats.DB step ups.........choose a few from this and use them over summer. Sucks but il work them very hhrd in my persuit of big legs!!!!
