Re: Question about height and weight Conversions
« Reply #1 on: April 05, 2006, 02:35:18 PM »
obviously this depends on bone density also etc.

a very simple method would be e.g

divide weight by height in inches.

eg 300lbs at 6'2 (74") =4.05lbs per inch

to work out what a 5'6 bbuilder would weigh to be at the same size is simple.

5'6"= 66 inches

66x4.05= 267lbs

im guessing this is extremely flawed

Lets say a bodybuilder is 5 ft 10 and another bodybuilder is 6 ft 2, if they both weigh 230 lbs what would the estimated difference in lean bodyweight be if they were both the same height?

Is there a conversion chart or something?

Obviously its not going to be completely accurate because of bone density and structure etc., but there must be an average  I think I saw something about it somewhere but I dont remember...

Can anyone help me out here?

Is there like an average poundage per inch or something?

For example Gunter is 6ft 2 Ronnie is like 5 11, both 300 lbs but obviously Ronnie is bigger, what would Gunter have to weigh to be Ronnie's size?
its basic math, considering they are both the same bodyfat percentage.

just create a ratio...

300 / 5'11'' = x/ 6'2''             CROSS MUTLIPLY....         300( 6'2'')=X(5'11'') SOLVE.... ( I PUT IT INTO INCHES)

GUNTER WOULD HAVE TO WEIGH 312
