Why would Dana give a shit? It was a boxing match, not a UFC event.

Yeah, misleading title.

Ah, I  see. Tim Hague hasn't fought in the UFC since 2011.

Lots of folks crying about this. The blame, if there is any to go around lies with the athletic commission and the guy's corner. Lots are blaming the ref, but in the prior rounds, Hague was still mounting a defense, and still jumping up to fight. Granted he looked sloppy and a bit out of shape.

It's not a nice thing to say, but Hague was a tomato can, that had been knocked out multiple times in the last year or two, both in boxing and in MMA. He and his team, plus the athletic commission should've thought about that.

Here's the full fight -

I watched him fight in the UFC once. He got KO'd in less than 10 seconds

he took the fight on short notice. The guy he was fighting was much better and full time boxer...Tim only "part-time".

He just died a few hours ago. Left behind a young son

If he didn't die for us bitches, then his death was without honor and he will forever be kept from entering Thonghalla .

This whole tough guy UFC and even Boxing has gone too far.  Retards, regardless of their incredible strunff should not be allowed in the squared circle.  I know that they think its their only way out of stupidity induced poverty, but like Judge Smails said, the world needs ditch diggers too.

He said in an interview before the fight he was hoping to win and give his Son a summer to remember.  That footage of him getting KO'd will be running in his Sons head for the rest of his life.  Terrible.

That other guy has to feel both terrible and psyched that he killed someone in the ring. There should have been a 3 knockdown rule.

Straight right then a left hook looked to land square on his chin while he was off balance.

In all my fights in Mexico I'm always waiting for something like that to happen, cuz down there anybody can fight. There's zero pre fight checkup. A guy can get knocked out one Saturday & come :) back and fight the very next Saturday (like I did) & get knocked out again... All forv200-1000$.

He was already brain dead but they kept him alive in order to harvest his organs for donations.

There is zero blame to be assigned.  Full-contact combat sports are inherently risky, and death is a possibility.  That's part of what makes them so exciting.  Like you say, Hague was still able to defend himself and was trading shots .. no reason for the fight to have been stopped.
