The athletic wear more training apparel for the field, court, track, etc or fitness wear will have a more beach/surfer theme and then a and older meathead-type of theme. Can't give the brand names until all of my trademarks are approved. Our MPF brand sells pretty well now with the hoodies, cotton and dry-fit tee shirts.

I know of a few people who have fitness lines at my gym (dont know them personally, but via insta and see them around) you should create a thread about the fitness industry and clothing lines out there

it seems these 2 dudes run crazy discounts all the time? how do they maintain profit margins?

I don't think the lines we're developing are really going that route or demographic but if it takes off that way, great. As far as our MPF line it's really taken off by word of mouth through our college and pro athletes that wear our brand. Especially the hoodies, we've had quite a few requests NFL guys who have seen it on the players we train.

Was an airline pilot.  Now I'm a stay at home dad. It's nice to raise my own kids but I sure do miss working.

I agree mate and it's like a massive empty feeling when you loose that sense of accomplishment, I remember about two weeks after starting current job and literally feeling like the world was at an end and questioned what the fuck am I doing and how stupid I had been, by then I'd sold my van and mini digger and hadn't bothered to price any jobs in the last few months as knew I was starting this job and felt trapped.

I hope business gets better for you mate

What type of digger did you have? We call them excavators over here.

It was A jcb 801.5 the older more squared off shape with the glazed cab, I bought it ridiculously cheap off my cousin who was in the same line of work as me but was giving it up as business was poor and he owed money to every builders merchant in the area so even if he did get any work he couldn't get any materials unless he paid his debts so he was kind of desperate.

It was a great machine but made us soft and reluctant to take on jobs where We couldn't get the digger in haha, reliability was awesome it had a 3 cylinder Perkins Diesel engine which would run faultless all day it just was a right pain to bleed if it ran out of diesel.

Of the few things I've loved in life that little digger was up there near the top haha I miss it still today mate as daft as that sounds

What kind of construction, good money?

What makes you hate it?

We do roofing, siding, painting, gutters,Masonry,Small additions and kitchen/bathroom remodels.I hate it sometimes cause most my clients are very rich as I focus on certain areas and some of them can be quite the pin in the ass. They will change their minds halfway thru the job things like that.just very stressful but most the time I like it.

I was in the roofing industry for over 20 years as an applicator, then inspections, design and then as a contractor. You know as well as I do although they change their minds, it's just means another change order that they have to absorb. More money in the companies pocket.

JCB, junk coming from Britain  ;D. Seriously though, that's a 3,000 pound machine, were you in plumbing/mechanical contracting? That's normally what machines that small are used for over here. I have a Volvo EC35 that's a bit bigger than that, but still small compared to my others.

Yeah it is more money, just a pain in the ass cause I line up jobs and I then have to push jobs back and it's just a big pain in the ass especially with all the rain we are getting in the northeast.Lot of downtime with all the rain.

I was into groundworks and driveways, brickwork and small scale building work (small extensions, porches, conservatories), never did commercial work only private (although did try and price for commercial work a few times as the money was fantastastic but it's normaly sewn up and was a waste of time) and the small size was ideal for digging driveways or foundations on your average house, but we did once use it to clear an acre of trees and demolish a bungalow and it managed although could have done with something bigger.

I work in Quality Assurance / Operational Excellence, so auditing of 3rd parties, but more importantly aligning projects across various departments. Quite interesting.
