Solid post.
Agree especially with the last sentence concerning the monster super heavys.
Still think prime Ali beats a prime Tyson though.
Ali had a fantastic chin and the heart of a lion.
Gets into Tyson's head during the press conference then takes him into deep water and drowns him later into the fight.
But what is Ali's prime? An Ali with chin and speed never existed, it's either 60s Clay, a skinny cruiser rocked and hurt by 180lbs bums, who was fast but outsized everyone and still had shitty defense, or 70s Ali, a plodding and chubby punchinbag, who took beatings by anyone, but was durable and with good stamina, and more experience, big part of his success... Still, the punchers Ali's fought would be featherfists compared to Tyson, they are unproven against modern heavyweights well over 200lbs... Foreman is the only legit puncher Ali fought, but he was gassed early, had an idiotic gameplan, threw predictable looping shots, and his power was in the heavy-clubbing, break-you-down department, not a fast snapping, lights-out striker like Tyson...
