no its bigger than ever in the usa. as evident of no of contests, no of people competigin, no of difference divisions, prize money, size of expo, people attending etc etc
if you want to refute this you will have to show the opposite to be true, you can start with an explanation that a dying sport, like mr olympia, has the highest prize money in contest history, the reasonable thing would be the opposite - sorry mr phil heath, but we're not making the money we used to, and because of that we can no longer give you 400 000 dollars!
but as i said, its more popular than ever, more money coming in etc which explains WHY the prize money is at the all time highest.
im awaiting your explanation, or you could just listen to reason and agree with me.
Like most, I don't follow it closely anymore. However, I remember there used to be a pro circuit with shows in various cities around the country. Does this even exist anymore?
I also remember the New York pro show, formerly, the night of champions, which used to be held in the Beacon theater, capacity 3500. It was then moved to a venue downtown with a capacity of about 1000. After that, it was moved to hotel banquet hall in New Jersey. Now, I believe it's held in some strip club, with the opening act being some chick who blows ping-pong balls out of her twat.
