This. I'm surprised. Very few people understand that. Today's financial engineering is all about creating the illusion of value while there's really nothing created. And the first to benefit from it are those who continue borrowing money to maintain systems that are well into entropy. Nobody's pushing the US, France, the UK to leverage more debt. Have a look at the Greek example. If there were no bankers to fund those smoke and mirrors politics, a country like the US would crumble in a second.
