Yates @ 315lbs

Yates a big man, but 315 at that condition seems a stretch. He's just too tight to be 315.

That's just how good he was. He is bigger in this guest posing than in Blood and Guts in which he was 305lbs. So it's completely feasible than he is 315 here as claimed

His actual weight was 287lbs.    But you know how, when were cutting, we weigh in the morning while were naked, on an empty stomach???
And when were bulking we weigh at night, right after we eat while holding a 45lb plate behind us???    Yeah its that kinda thing. ;D

I have to agree with War-Horse, he just doesn't look that much bigger than contest shape. He probably put the weight where his balls would have been, as most pros are capable of doing.

I don't know if he 's 315 lbs in that pic , but we can safely assume he's somewhere in the 300 range , so for somebody who's that heavy to look that sharp...simply amazing... :o

what people dont realize is that you gotta watch a yates video to comprehend why he won and why he's better than ronnie...

ronnie = water logged compared to yates..

yates looks like ya took 600 lbs of muscle and then somehow squeezed it into a 260lb body..

But Ronnie's body is curvier and more voluptuous, so I guess it's a toss-up.

T Avenger is right.   That is a good analogy of the Dorian.    600lbs into 260lbs = Density.
Dorian is dense (in a good way)  Ronnie is fluffy (in a bad way) LOL

It all depends on what you place a higher priority on, density or shape.

If i had the choice.....Id pick ronnies physique...but its close.
But then again the kmhphotos of 93 were the freakiest ever of dorian.

I would rather be dense and ripped like Dorian than look like Ronnie.  I think it is just a matter of what you personally would like to emulate.  Ronnie is no doubt one of the best, if not the best BBer, in terms of wins and development but I think if he cut back on size and got conditioning like Dorian's then he would be unstoppable.  I think having started his Olympia reign so late may have hurt him in the long run.  He is forty or so now and the body can only keep up for so long before it starts to lose something.

Yeah, I was shocked when I saw Dorian posing his back for the first time, it looked rock-hard, not like anything else I'd seen on stage.

Of course everyone has water in them, including Dorian. Just because Dorian was drier and has less interstitial water doesn't mean that Ronnie is bloated and without condition. Ronnie definitely brings striations and cuts to the table. WTF are you doing on Sust?

The only one of the guys on that list who actually dwarfed Ronnie was Kovacs. Ronnie not only dwarfs others, he also brings quality, proportion and cuts to the table. Bodybuilding muscularity is based on LOOKS ONLY, the judges do not get to perform any tests on the competitors. ::)

 P.S. Ronnie dwarfs you ;D

They didn't have synthol in the early 90's ::) Ronnie probably just site injects. His calves actually flex, they are just really high.

Nope, synthol also includes benzocaine and something else, noob. ;D Flex's calves looked fine in the early 90's, in my opinion. Good luck with your cycle. Don't go overboard!
