Just found out about this a couple of min ago.

Did he really chocked on food?

Chalked is the initial story, anyway. So many other factors involved, but until we learn more ...

As far as we know. No one really knows anything. Nothing much is really coming out, just like with Piana. For all we know the companies that they work for are controlling the info coming out, especially on social media.

I think that's what Josh Lenartowicz initially released to the public, knowing full well insulin was involved?  ???

Am I right about that?  If so, that is extremely disingenuous on his part.

What did he release? The 911 was not released by him and he was in a a total panic.

Read some of his ig, he is totally gutted by this.

josh_lenartowiczApprecia te all the kindness being sent to @dallasmccarver family, fans and friends.
I can't believe it still, finding a friend like that is heart wrenching and not being able to bring him back is even worse.

Remember the person he was-happy, generous, friendly, loving, hard working. Life is taken for granted, he was here full of life one moment and gone the next :( To people trying to contact me try my whatsapp as I can't receive messages. Thanks for the support. Tried to train, don't know about the O. It's so damn sad.

Knowing full well it's likely bullshit, what should he have released publicly before anything's officially determined?

"Well, he's fulla 300 lbs. of every chemical a lab could create - shit you couldn't possibly imagine! I'm no doctor, but it probably had much to do with him lying dead in my kitchen." Would this have been more appropriate?

What did he release? The 911 was not released by him and he was in a a total panic.

Did he tell people Dallas was found with food in his mouth, to imply he was choking to death, whereas the 911 call proves that Josh knew insulin was possibly involved?

Knowing full well it's likely bullshit, what should he have released publicly before anything's officially determined?

"Well, he's fulla 300 lbs. of every chemical a lab could create - shit you couldn't possibly imagine! I'm no doctor, but it probably had much to do with him lying dead in my kitchen." Would this have been more appropriate?

Well, for starters, he should not go around implying that choking was the cause of death when he knew full well it was drug-related, or may have been drug-related.  ::)

That being said, I'm not sure if Josh said anything.

Who released the part about Dallas choking?  Obviously that person would have been aware of the insulin, so I maintain what I said: whoever released that information was being disingenuous.  To imply to people that Dallas died by choking, knowing full well that insulin was involved IS DISINGENUOUS.  Just say nothing!  Or just say "I found him dead."  Don't imply the death was an accidental choking death when it may well have been a death due to hypoglycemia.

I hope you are joking mate, if not thats an insult to people who really do suffer traumatic incidents.

You don't consider that a traumatic incident. The guy died, he was trying to save him. You don't think that stays with you the rest of your life?

Fair enough: "He collapsed, we don't know, he's gone, no further comment" would've been best. Released 911 call mentioning insulin bungles any nonsense cover-up.

26 year-old diabetic, though, rather unusual?

Dude, I saw my kitten being killed by the family's dog and I felt like crap the entire week.

I can't imagine what is like to lose a friend like that.

You walk into a room and see a guy dead on your face, a professional colleague, the owner of the house you're staying in, and you don't call that a trauma incident ? You gotta be kidding. Josh is in another country, Man, cut him some slack

if he goes unconscious from the insulin he could very well have choked on the food he had in his mouth. Goes hyperglycemic -> panics and starts to stuff his mouth with food but too late and passes out with food in his mouth -> chokes on the food while unconscious..

This makes the most sense

people find their actual family members, spouses, etc. dead every day in this country and there is no doubt that is traumatic

Josh was especially fragile though because of all the bullying he has endured in his life

If you are choking and nobody is around to perform the Heimlich maneuver, you can do it yourself using a solid object such as a chair, table, or counter top. Place your fists between the solid object and your abdomen and drive your body against the solid object. Learned this in grade school.

But if Dallas passed out from taking too much insulin, your self administered Heimlich technique would not be possible

Too bad Dallas didn't think to run to his friend so he can un lodge the food from his throat. Hard to say what I would do, but if it got to the point that I thought I wasn't going to get it out myself, I would run like crazy to another room to at least show my friend i'm not doing good.

I just don't get this.  :-\

Sure, Dallas was huge - and obviously pushing it to the max, gear-wise, but he was certainly doing that to no greater extent than Greg Kovacs, who almost made 45, or Art Atwood, who almost made 38.

I don't understand why Dallas died so young, even if he was on all the juice in the world.

Maybe unlike Greg, who didn't compete much, and unlike Art Atwood - who had a relatively short competitive life, Dallas actually competed regularly - maybe it was the stress of the diuretics and other cutting agents that caused him to pass away.

How many clients of Chad Nicholls is this that passed away now?  I'm kidding.  Sort of.  :-\  But seriously:

- Nasser El Sonbaty
- Don Youngblood
- Dallas McCarver
- Tom Prince (kidneys)

Any others?

I can honestly say, I would hate to be the coach of a competitor who dies.  Even though it is ultimately the responsibility of the competitors, I would still feel guilty - or at least feel guilty or feel badly knowing others would blame me for it, even though it wasn't my fault.

I think Dallas was pumping major doses even as an amateur. There's an old thread on promuscle about his coaches methods which included 350mg of tren a day along with other insanity. Guys on promuscle had hired this same coach so it sounded credible. So I wouldn't blame Chad, plus it sounds like they weren't even working together lately.

Of course, we don't even know what happened exactly.
