Greg Kovacs 45  ?heart failure

Momo Benaziza 43 ?cardiac arrest

Mike Matarazzo 44 heart attack?

Nasser El Sonbaty 46 ?heart attack

Baitollah Abbospaur 39  ?cause

Luke Wood 38 ?cause

Matt McCLean 35  heart attack

Jon Pall sigmarsson- 42 heart attack

yes Mcclean was an Aussie amateur who tried a few times for a pro card

apparently he also had diabetes caused by GH abuse and the diabetes caused him partial blindness

This list doesn't impress me much, there are many many more still alive.  I think the casualty rate seems to be somewhere around 10% and if you take out recreational drugs it's probably lower.  I mean think about it, Gaspari is still alive.  Isn't he famous for saying "if you're not pissing blood, you're not taking enough?"

It don't impressive me much either - mainly because out of the eight competitors whose ages I a familiar with, seven are incorrect.  ;D. That and this:

Andreas died of multiple organ failure and internal bleeding....mainly liver

Why cutoff at 50?

The limit should be higher.


It's not normal to die at 51.

For example Mentzer should be listed.

pretty sure all these guys had heart attacks (Jerry Brainum speculates that the Mentzer died of  OD - medical examiner said both hard extensive heart disease)
