Wow, what is this sport becoming? A fat, cookie cutter making trouble at the Olympia. If Trump was doing teh job he said he was going to do, the strength cartel would be lifting in Mexico.

Possibly for the best.  I don't understand these extremely strong/strong AF lifters like Brad who feel the need to embellish their claims.  ::)  It's like Mike O'Hearn constantly telling everyone he is natural.  I guess on the small possibility he is natural, I would feel the need to say it over and over again if I looked like Mike, but since most likely he does use, I think it would be better for Mike to just say nothing unless asked.

Back to Brad, I think he needs to stop claiming he can break records unless he is willing to step up to the plate and compete.  In the meantime, just say nothing - it's fine to do that, I promise.

Mike will be 50 in a year and a half, and if his skin still shows no sign of aging, then I'm going to assume he did something unnatural, even if it is just surgery to keep his skin looking young.  If you look closely at his face, it is expressive even when he is at rest.  Meaning, I think it is almost a certainty that he either had plastic surgery, or had a dermal filler injected into his face.  He was not competing at the time of this photo - at the 2012 Arnold Classic - but he was being paid highly for some sort of video appearance.  I just can't recall which one.  He looks like a mannequin here:

Why don't these guys have any muscle definition? Anybody who doesn't know about the scene would want to look like Brad. Now, that being said, if he is claiming he can do something, then he needs to prove it, which is why I guess the call out. Make strength or lift claims in this culture, you gonna have to prove it.

He doesn't compete in powerlifting, obviously doesn't intent to either. So why care? He doesn't exist in the record books of any federation, but apparently he does in the minds of fat meathead thugs and insecure girls.

It's just that

He's needs to prove it in another realm other than his sanctuary gym with work play school weights

Just back it up - although I'd of cut 2 of those fat fcks throats for approaching me while I try to make $

Are you saying it's bad to be fat and to sweat a lot?  ???  As for Brad, I think the reason why people are calling him is because it looks to many people that he uses fake plates, and Brad also said that he intended to break some records.  Look at the second video, by Nick Chaprales.  Also, I had no idea that Mike O'Hearn has made videos about Brad.  ;D

Why would he need to prove anything? Does he owe you or anyone? He doesn't actually compete?

1. Nice backpedaling, first it's you expressing your opinion insisting Brad should stop making claims, now you're just expressing your opinion about "people" calling him out. Why don't you take your seat at the backbench and shut your mouth, Matt. Best not to stand to out with your opinions and hide in the safety of the crowd.

2. By default I don't look at any links or videos you post.

He owes me nothing but he has a fan base and gets paid off that

Also gets paid off videos he makes claiming strength numbers

By avoiding "real life" scenarios like competitions  and judged events - he opens the door to ridicule and conjecture of his claims/fake plates

By 'proving' his claims he elimates all this BS basically, for the most part

So why not ??

But also same dudes who act like 'he doesn't owe you anything' buy supplements by the boatload and idolize Isra gram idiots and never compete , you have to act like a badass in the gym just to get a workout on because it's truely boring to you but your a fatass otherwise because you don't know how to eat and train-- but Brad ur savior is a fake ass and needs to own it

Why would he want to eliminate the bullshit? The name "Brad Castleberry" has been featured by lots of people in the 'industry'. All the while generating views and revenue. And yes, you're right, there are plenty of people buying supplements by the boatloads due to false expectations and sly advertising. Brad is earning his piece of the pie, or seems to anyways.

Still doesn't obligate him to prove shit to anyone, or justify people coming up to his face.

Publically claiming shit normally does end up in a 'put up or shut up' kind of scenario, even more so in todays social media driven existance.  And why the fuck not...if people are allowed to claim, what is probably total bs, and get away with it then we are truly living in the snowflake epoch.

Funny how so many are jumping to Brads defence, yet if it were Phil Heath claiming something....

Phil has already done his 46 reps with 225.

The guys who approached Castleberry are just typical low lifers. No surprise Brad walked away, as would any intelligent person.

Brad makes money being a personality in the business. How many people asked Piana to prove his muscles were real? And if they did, did he ever respond? Of course not. Why would he have?

For years the bodybuilding industry has misled people into thinking that hard work and protein powder is all that's needed to look like Arnold. The Wieders lied all the way to the bank.

If Castleberry uses fake plates then they must be magical because the guy looks amazing, lol. He is selling a look, and a notion that you too can be big and strong if you buy his products. Hmm. Where have I heard that before? Oh, yeah- every single famous bodybuilder or supplement company in the world, haha.

The reason Castleberry gets flak, I think, is because he gets so much more attention than the world class powerlifters who have actually lifted record breaking poundages in competition. Outside a small following, powerlifting is not followed by the general public. The fame that Castleberry is creating for himself outshines almost everyone in the strength business, just like Piana had a bigger following than guys like Heath.

And that is a hard  for many to take.

Yes, it is bad to be fat and sweat a lot. That is typically symptomatic of ill health and cardiovascular disease. I don't know how anyone could say it is good.

By no means was I justifying those idiots actions - youre right , I would agree that Casteberrys antics and dodgyness just adds to the mystic that enables him to have such a 'instagram profession'

I don't hate on anyone that's doing good for themselves while not robbing or harming others - the dude sells fart powder

Brad doesn't need to prove anything to anyone, especially not to those fat cap-wearing tubby fucks.
