I was looking for the thread about him.  I had accidentally posted my response to his death in another thread.  This was the comment:

At 73, he wasn't young, but wasn't super old.  He was Andre the Giant's manager in the famous match against Hulk Hogan.

I didn't realize that Bobby looked like Roger Ebert towards the end of his life:

He was awesome.  Remember how he used to translate for FUJI.  Fuji would talk in Japanese and Heenan would explain what he was saying.  The best was Fuji was asked if he was going to win and Fuji goes on a minute long tirade and then they ask Bobby what fuji said and he replied "yes".  Hahaha.

Why do they let the managers get so involved in wrestling? I have seen many matches where the manager interferes and effects the outcome of the match. They should not allow the managers to stand ringside. They don't have this problem in boxing or MMA.

Can't they put a plastic one in or something like they do with Knees and hips?

The legends are dying off!

This is where it's better to be Vince - and now Shane - McMahon.  Vince gets to enjoy participation in everything that the WWE has to offer, but he doesn't indulge in the unsavoury aspects of the industry to the same extent.  I would assume he uses TRT, but doesn't need to cycle as heavily as some of the top guys, for example.  It would probably be hard not to indulge while being completely immersed in the work and party life of the WWE, but I think Vince is 71 now, and looking great for his age.  I am guessing that at this point, Shane will gradually take over.

There is a good documentary about wrestling on Netflix, which shows the amazing growth of the WWE, which was the WWF at the time [1999], before the World Wildlife Fund sued them.  In it, Vince was 53, and Shane was 29, and it was cool to think that the WWE was really just a family-owned business, at least to begin with.  You can really see in the movie how hard the world of professional wrestling is on its participants.

The movie is called "Beyond the Mat", and is on the Canadian Netflix if anyone is interested.  I'm assuming that since the American Netflix is so much better, that it would be on the American version too.

If I remember right, Bobby required much of his jaw to be removed because of the cancer years ago. Several attempts were made to fit him with a prosthetic replacement, but they kept becoming infected and had to be removed.

The should use recycled/repurposed barn wood with cast iron hardware.

Tito Santana had a finisher called the Flying Forearm.

Heenan used to call it The Flying Jalapeno.

That used to slay me as a child. Still does.

He was a known big drinker in his day, could have contributed to the throat cancer.
He may have smoked as well...
