Either that or he’s an astute businessman who sees that he’s on a sinking ship and has the good sense to jump off.

how is he jumping off?

He owns about 25% of the stock and sounds like a whiny bitch who can't take responsibility for the fact that his product can't compete

He's getting mocked by a frozen pizza company

In Toronto the chicks tend to be SJW's, Very Materialistic/goldDiggers, and/or fatties. Amazes me how many you see eating shit food like mickey d's BEFORE going out on the town, in Montreal they tend to do that after dancing and drinking for several hours.

When I go back to Montreal to visit family I notice the differences just going to the grocery store. In montreal they usually act more like humans and the chicks actually dress nice even going shopping for food(and can usually cook well). Here in Toronto it's usually some tired obnoxious housewife with some husband and kids and they all act like they hate each other and/or anyone in their path, never mind its usually sweatpants.

I am exageratting a bit but this city has become fucking rude and degenerate(make a guess why) and take themselves way too seriously, while in Quebec they are just direct for the most part and more laid back, especially at gatherings, family and otherwise.

I have to give props to the first and second generation white immigrants here though, they are pretty laid back and direct like the Portuguese, greeks, Italians, Aussies, Brits, Irish, Scottish etc. Alot of the non white ones act like victims of everything and assholes in public.

having worked several festivals over the years gives me that observation

BINGO! I was in both places and.... MONTRAL>>>>>toronto

Maybe he just needs to make better pizza. I've never eaten at a Pappa Johns. Not once.

So how do you know the pizza's crap?

I love Papa's grease wheels. And now I like Papa.

Fuck the NFL.

Papa John's has clout. They reported spending at least $30 million on NFL advertising this year.

For those who say the pizza sucks, you  are in a minority. They sold over $1.7 billion in pizza last year, so your opinion is meaningless, lol

I actually tried it last night (for the hell of it). Taste like frozen digiorno pizza. Nothing to write home about. It wasn't like horrific, but it tasted like frozen ingredients. When you live in a big city, you can get way better pizza in most locally owned places.

As for Pappa Johns, he needs to stop blaming others for his failing business. Republicans believe in individual responsibility, so let him take responsibility for his business. No one ever told him too put so much emphasis on aligning himself with ONE corporation (NFL). That was his choice, now he has to take responsibility for his actions (just like you always say people need to do). Other pizza chains are doing just fine.

From a culinary perspective, it does suck. There are tons of locally owned pizza stores who make way better pizza. But, the average American doesn't care, so they eat whatever. Remember, you're talking about a population (America) that has an obesity epidemic--they will eat most anything put in front of them, whether its just "okay" or made by a "world class chef." The fact that many people buy it doesn't make it good pizza. Its affordable and decent enough.

But, of course, taste is subjective.

Good.  Who the fuck do these kneeling phaggots think they are - flipping the bird to their primary and richest demographic.  Oh yes, oppressed millionaires.  ::)  This is why we really need to stop telling Blacks that they are oppressed.  You can't tell a group of people with an average IQ of 85 such a message without them immediately believing every word.  And if White people think there are no consequences to that - uhhh, dickheads - try 50,000 murdered Whites in the past 50 years.  But yeah, no big deal - let's focus on POS like Trayvon Martin and Michael Brown instead.

whos the paying customer? who purchases the merchandise? who attends the games? hmmmmmmm..politics involved ruins the sport(ex: ESPN). My father is a hardcore Steeler fan, hes from PA. he told me he refuses to watch NFL now. He only watches college games from now on. i lost interest in the NFL years ago

Serious question:

Is Pappa Johns losing money because he voted for Trump?

Or, is Pappa Johns losing money because he airs commercials during the NFL and less people are watching football?

Or, both?

Depends on what time frame he was referring to in his statements. If the company was doing fine up until mid-September when the kneeling bullshit took on a life of its own, then it has nothing to do with the election from a year ago. And how many customers know who the CEO of a company voted for? Papa John's is plastered all over NFL broadcasts.

Then he is responsible for relying too much on one organization to promote his business.

He has no one to blame but himself. Any organization (NFL, in this case) can take a "nose dive" for whatever reason. He put a lot of his eggs in one basket.

Oh well, businesses fail all the time or take a hit. He won't be the first, nor will he be the last.

who knows.. unless facts are posted... i had no idea he voted for Trump...im sure hes connected to Jerry Jones and the other top owners... the top owners are trying to get rid of the NFL commissioner due to his lack of a spine... so im sure the owner of Papa Johns called him out publicly due to these reasons.

The average getbigger is apparently too good for chain pizza.  ::)

The others all have first hand knowledge of pizza market and a history of running 30 million dollar ad campaigns.   ::)

Of course I am too good for chain pizza. When you live in NYC, and can get a brick oven pizza for the same price as PJ's, why go the chain route? I actually ate their pizza last night and it was not as horrible as I thought. On the other hand, its not even close to a good italian place. If I was going to eat at a chain pizza store, I would pick Dominos.

As for marketing, looks like he chose the wrong organization this year.  :-X :-X :-X

From a marketing perspective, why did PJ's align so strongly with the NFL? Did he branch out to other companies who can promote his pizza?  ??? ??? ???

people order pizza during football games. i used to work at a papa johns when i was 16. we would get slammed on Sundays and any other football game. so it would make sense to market towards football
