Way of the Dragon (Lee vs. Norris)
The Octagon (Norris vs. Samurai-like guy)
Silent Rage (Norris vs. Kirby)
Missing in Action 2: The Beginning (Norris vs. Colonel Yen)
Roadhouse (Dalton vs. Jimmy)
Rocky IV (Rocky Balboa vs. Ivan Drago)
Fear City (Tom Berenger vs. Serial killer)

There are others...

No such thing as an "essential carb."

I believe that scene in They Live was mostly ad-libbed.
Supposedly, Piper and David went off script and went by feel - almost treating it like a wrestling match that has a general direction and pre-determined outcome, but doing everything leading up to that on the fly.

I enjoyed some of the fight scenes in the first two Transporter movies.
I found them entertaining; they seemed like a nice homage to a lot of the cheesy action films I grew up with in the 80's.

I remember reading how Carpenter asked them to make full contact below the neck to make the fight look as realistic as possible.

The movie was nominated for an academy award.
Do you know if it was for anything related to that scene?

undisputed - wesley snipes and ving rhames play boxers convicted and now in prison, whole movie leads up to the fight
goon - seann william scott, throughout the whole movie really love the brutal beatdowns, he plays a hockey enforcer and the last fight is the best. based on a true story
honorable mention: once were warriors - the emotional rage beatdown, verycathartic as it was well deserved

There are a lot of candidates. One thing that disqualifies a fight scene from being good for me is people taking blows that would obviously incapacitate or render them unconscious, yet they regain their faculties before the next punch.

Hell, yeah. How about the end of The Wild Bunch. I love when Thornton shows up and Bishop's hand is still on the Browning. Dead men, everywhere.
