Daily Travels: more bizarre things you have seen?
« on: November 17, 2017, 07:47:27 AM »
Yesterday.

yesterday was a weird day for me. All sightings were akin to seeing a Liger or dodo bird

-saw 2 black dwarves yesterday, both on different areas of the city. There are plenty of dwarves out there, especially when you live in a place the size of Toronto, but I have only seen the first black one before, because he is in my area,  never a second one within an hour, ever! Not saying this to make fun of dwarves, or even black ones, but the fact is dwarfism is still a rare occurance in society. And just to clarify when I write dwarf, I mean like 4 foot tall and under type situation, with the stocky arms, legs and big head, not the shorter person just a shade under 5 feet.

-This one is even more rare. Despite that Toronto is a fairly laid back city when it comes to gays and all, outside of the church street area have never seen in all my time in Toronto what I saw yesterday, and it has less to do with being gay than it does with taking a chance with haveing to deal with those in your culture who may not take kindly to what I witnessed.
So the biggest cahonies award goes to the 2 pakistani gentleman I saw on the fairly full subway yesterday who were in full cuddle and public display of affection right in front of everyone. Right in areas of the city which are essentially over populated with people from Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, you get the idea.
Personally I have always been annoyed by PDA, even when I have been doing it myself with a chick. Now this is not to say I have never seen anyone from these backgrounds who are gay, however I have never seen 2 outside the confines of the village together who were giving off any hint of their relationship in the vicintity of more than not only one, but 1000's of people from those backgrounds who have pretty strong views when it comes to sexuality, and are in fact alot more open about it than most of the keyboard warriors here.

So the moral of this long ass story is not about multiple black dwarves or open gay paki couples, but about the fact that I saw these rare occurances in the same afternoon on the same day.

Nice short story.

Not really bizarre, but idiotic gym stuff...

 - Some snowflake using his phone WHILE doing leg presses.

 - A morbidly obese girl drinking a large bottle of Mountain Dew while pedaling a stationary bike.

I love how you know the difference between a midget little person and a dwarf.  There is a difference, and you explained it perfectly.  Little Women: Terra's Little Family covered this, as the woman [Terra] was a little person, but the husband Joe Gnoffo was a dwarf.  She had achondroplasia, while he had pseudo-achondroplasia.  There was a possibility that the baby was going to be born with both mutations.  Joe definitely did not want that, and I'm glad they didn't try to pretend that it would be "beautiful" for that to occur.  ::)

Who the f*ck wants their children to inherit their genetic flaws?  I was almost in tears initially when I found out that my son inherited my autism...but...then I gave it some thought and realized that it has been more of an advantage to me in my life.  Sometimes we only look at the negative, but upon giving it a more balance and nuanced look, I realized that there are many benefits to being mildly autistic, to the point where I was basically just taking it for granted.

I do not really see any benefit in dwarfism though, regardless of type, and Terra's daughter has the type that isn't so bad.  They have since had a son, and I am not sure if he has only his dad's type, or has both...or quite possibly, neither.

I felt sorry for Joe in this show.  I would not want to be that height.  Not to mention, he had been through many surgeries too.  It just seemed like a life that I would not want - and that most people would not want.  He couldn't even stand up during his wedding ceremony, and since he skipped the rehearsal, he didn't know what to do.  :-\  It was kind of sad/pathetic.

I bought the shows from Google Play.  Maybe I will go check out some more episodes, as your post reminded me.  Another similar show is, of course, Little People, Big World.  It basically tries to humanize little people, and I have learned a lot about little people in the process.

I wonder if little people will be the next "oppressed" group that gets special privileges as a result.  In any case,  I enjoyed watching the episodes, and learning things about little people.

After reading your post, I think I will actually go check out those episodes again soon.  Maybe Sunday.  :)  Thanks NelsonMuntz.

I got locked up in Mexico back in 99 was only about 16-17yrs old at the time

Federalis picked my up on my way across the border , I tried to bribe them but they acted like they spoke no English

I was put in a drunk tank and was left overnight

Smelled like Mexican piss and chili powder , these 2 guys kept tightening and a fat guard came in and headlocked one but he fell , on him , and had busted the prisoners eyebrow wide the fck open

Then another fight broke out and some sort of makeshift shank was pulled out and anothe guy cut , with all the rojo salsa blood around I guess it made some dude nervous so he goes to a corner , takes a huge wet shit in his hands and rubs it in his hair whilst screaming

It was so bad they just let me leave , lost a seiko watch and $50 but didn’t get Hep A, TB, or AIDs

While on my way with my wife to a Utah Jazz game downtown, I saw a drunk black dude taking a shit in the urinal in a public restroom.  Bizarre, but pretty tame compared to Spike's Mexican jail story.  That one was my favorite.  ;D

Just now -

Some guy showed up to my house asking to look at my furnace.  :-\

Then he went to the house two doors down from me.  He said "It's hard to talk to a door." [I refused to let him in].  And "I will send you something in the mail, buddy."

UH wut.

Who are these people?  Do you guys let these types in.

A cousin of mine who's a bit mad and his mate who's twice as bad let two jehovahs witnesses in a few years back. They were asking questions taking the piss out of the jehovahs when one jehovah said 'Paul I'm just answering Thomas' question' so Paul said ah OK I'll just do my own thing. He then proceeded to put on a porn DVD and start pulling himself, the jehovahs ran out of the house leaving their books behind. Jesus I know so many fucked up people I've tons of stories.
