I know the Topanga Canyon road well as my nephew and his family have a home at the base of that road close to Ventura Blvd and Jeff Everson had a mansion half way up the hill at which I visited often. He sold it about a year ago.

One sunny afternoon Keith (Only Me) and myself drove up Topanga with an intent to visit the house that Peter (?) built but failed to locate it.

Keith was a good friend to each of them.

Was it or was it not at the top part of Topanga Road as you start to head towards PCH?

Thanks for the info on the bed  that was made for Arnold's son. I sorta/kinda recall seeing a photo of some of that furniture on one of these internet sites.

I believe that Draper was also and once upon a time involved with furniture 'construction' but I could be wrong.

And thanks for  the  SILLYSEURS info. I think I originally saw them being offered for sale somewhere along the Venice Beachwalk before they became a hit for Disney.

Do you recall a friend of the bros by the name of Marty Gentle? He trained at the old Gold's in SM and made a good name for himself but was a Alabama homebody and returned to Huntsville when the going got tough in SoCal and the beachside rentals skyrocketed.

He managed to get in trouble somehow back there but I  have not heard why or how. But I di heard that he got 'sucked into' a huge piece of heavy equipment that was used in the manufacturing of heavy duty tires and it took them hours to tear that machine apart and drag him out.

It's been said that if he wasn't built so solid, he would have been crushed to death.

Sad to say that he passed away a couple of years back though.

Stunt....a few things. As for location of Peter Pauls house in Topanga. That was many years ago...but I do know that it was on a hill street that intersected Topanga by Topanga Lumber store. If facing south on Topanga toward PCH...you would turn right up a steep winding hill. House was on nortb side of street.

As for Draper making furniture...YES...that was his main interest in the 70's with his training. Arnold still owns the bed Draper made him and it is visable in attached pic of Arnold. Also...some pics of Dave in his workshop that was in his Playa Del Rey 70's home which he sold or was bought out...upon LAX extending its western runways. That area now is fenced off like an abandoned urban decay zone. No houses but still the streets and sidewalks with weeds. You can view it heading toward Hermosa. Anyway..some pics attached of Daves furniture too. Eddie Giulliani has a bunch still I believe at his Venice home.
