Yanks didn't have highest payroll last year, and will be under the luxury tax threshold this year.

But, nobody really cares.

If they have an advantage over other teams, and don't leverage that advantage, it's bad business.

A very high impact move for Yankees GM Brian Cashman. He gets the top power hitter in the game for Castro and a few minor leaguers. And the Marlins eat about $30 million of Stanton's contract in the trade, as well.

It was a ridiculous deal, but Florida had no leverage.

Prospects that were given up were nothing.

Killer line up. Judge is a beast and still has yet to reach his prime and Stanton is just starting his prime years.  Don’t the Yankees want to go after Trout as well?

I'm actually glad that Ohtani chose to play for the Angels because (1) I wanted to see him in the AL, and (2) I wanted Trout to have a better chance at playing in the playoffs.

Fenway.....Yankees found a way to get over it quickly.   ;D

Disappointed in Ohtani.  He signed with a team that has little chance for the postseason, next year, and the near future.

Mark my words this guy will be the new homerun rbi mvp in the next 2 years.  Any book or fantasy guy put him in ur mix. When u get traded to the yanks mind muscle work crazy in sink. This guy will be the new age bonds canseco sosa with no ped hopefully.  Watch him and play ur book and fantasy with him always

Lol at shit pitching.  Best bullpen in the league, 2nd in pitcher WAR in all MLB in 2017, with Tanaka stinking for a portion of the season.

Legit young ace in Severino.

Tanaka / Gray excellent 2-3.

Montgomery will give 200 IP of league average ball.

Farm loaded with pitching prospects and offseason just beginning and they have the best lineup and bullpen set.

So yeah.
