Correct. However it never really worked for me either. I'm in the same boat as SF1900, ok with dumbells but weak on bench. I attribute it partly to almost never training with a partner so I don't have a spotter. But even when I did train with a partner I never went up much on the bench.  :-\

Try (if you can) to  bench in a power-rack with the pins set correctly.
Where you can still pause at the chest, but if stuck, you roll it back a bit toward your neck a bit more, then you are stuck no more.

Who said I was not interested in it?  ??? ??? I asked for input and input was offered. What else should be done?
Here is the ONLY way to get this done:

1. Stop your current routine. Take 2 weeks off.

2. Purchase the book Starting Strength by Mark Rippetoe on Amazon. Opt for ONE DAY delivery. You will be doing a lot of reading during your 2 week layoff and you need to start this reading ASAP.

3. Read the damn book. Cover to cover. Then read the damn book again, with a pen and a notebook. Take notes.

4. Do EVERYTHING the book tells you to do.

5. Don't ADD or SUBTRACT exercises from the program.

6. After the two week lay off/reading the book you will be ready to begin your Linear Progression Programming of Squats, Bench Presses, Overhead Presses, Deadlifts and Power Cleans.

7. Perform the workouts as indicated. Do not miss workouts. Do not customize the Program. Read the damn book.

8. Small, weak men from this forum and others will show you pictures of a fat adolescent and warn you not to drink a gallon of milk a day. Ignore these people. The GOMAD recommendation is for skinny teens and nobody else.

9. Read the damn book.

"Stold"? LOL....Madcow, Stronglifts, Lean Gains, etc. are knock offs of Bill Starr and Mark Rippetoe. But of course it's possible since English is obviously fairly new to yourself, you may have misunderstood something you think you saw when you were fooling around on the Interwebz.
