I see lower than thought around the board so far 170-180 seems pretty sensible so that would mean we wasted lots of time money over the years if this is right

Depends on the person.

Depends on the other macros and overall kcal requirements. Drug use plays a role as well.

Could be as little as a gram per pound or as high as 3 grams. Also carries theoughout a training cycle/diet.

There's no set amount. Figuring this stuff out for each individual person is what trainers coaches get paid to do

Start at 192 grams, add the year you were born to that to get your minimum amount of calories needed by 1pm everyday.   Multiple your age as a percentage to that amount and you will have the exact number of grams of protein you must eat at each meal.  Exactly.  Half a gram more or less will just not work.

I forgot about that but my guess would be around 200 tops probably 175 I'll look

Lyle McDonald says maybe around 1.5 grams for a steroid user so he somewhat debunks the low protein sources but im not sure he is right as he says no one knows but bases his research on what bodybuiders do. So maybe 300 is not to much. But again hardly a concrete answer.  Im still learning towards the 200g boat with bf everything else taken into account. He also states maybe 1.5 gram per lean lb of bodyweight which would be around 350 for a 300lb bodybuider im still not sure but leaning a little lower

To cut weight, when I'm heavy, I maintain less than 300 calories a day, and I begin doing 30 minutes of cardiovascular a day. No days off. I gradually build up to, believe it or not, 4 hours of cardiovascular training a day. I never go lower  than 2500 calories. My protein intake is low, about 80 grams a day of protein. My fat intake is low, about 20 grams, and the rest is carbs, from any source. That is the 'amazing' diet plan that I used to lose 77 lbs in 12 weeks. The bottom line is - I burned it off. I went out walking, and I spent some time doing road work. That was good, though, because it gave me some time to myself. I used to walk 12 miles every day, sometimes more. It was good private time for myself. I used to do mental training, visualization, mental practice. I figure now I have lifted 730 lbs about 400 or 500 times - in my mind. It was a private, personal

1g/lb is probably enough

If I was on juice and wanted to gain as much muscle as possible I'd do 1.5g/lb, so like 300g/day, but that's just to be safe.  Too much protein cant hurt muscle gains, so why not.

It is a pain in the ass to get that much protein in
