I am not sure this is a big deal (unless the meat is more expensive which then is potentially a taxpayer or tuition issue). I don’t think the meat is really any different or tastes any different, just like all the Jewish Kosher labels that are on a third of the packaged products in the grocery stores. Some rabbi said some hocus pocus over those products and none of us are the worse for our mayonnaise or potato chips, etc. May be the most practical approach for the school board or school principal to take if it makes 10 percent happy and doesn’t really impact the other 90 percent.

Allah is Islamic for God so no it really doesn't matter as long as the method of slaughter is a slice of the throat after the animal has been submitted which is really no big deal.  Honestly, Halal meat taste much better because the blood is drained from the animal so its much more rich and tasty.

If you`ve ever been up close at a slaughter you would understand why the butcher has to be good at what he is doing.

Halal meat is pure animal  torture by modern standards and it is a religious ritual.

Yes, most Muslims...especially Sunni would still consider it Halal.   However other Muslim groups are a lot more strict...no different than Jews but even that is no big deal.  I have seen it done before by some friend of mine.  They faced the animal to Mecca, gave it a drink of water to help it calm down, covered his eyes, and then slit the throat with one clean swipe all while chanting "In The Name Of God"
