I HAVE NO ISSUE WITH IT ... If the teachers chosen go through military or police handling of a weapon then hell yes...
I have two boys in high school and I cant be with them all day im in a good area upstate NY but shit can happen anywhere.
As a former marine I taught my oldest how to shoot he knows and respects hand guns so he can take apart a fire arm clean and shoot if the time called for it..

Ridiculously stupid idea which 95% of teachers will oppose. Armed security guards and police presence put the guns in the hands of people who have the right job responsibilities and training.

So you've gone and polled all the teacher in every state to see who was for or against it great to see you had time for that.. its your opinion not fact .. there are many in our area who would and im sorry but armed security where were they in florida and the other 17 school shootings this year alone by the time they get there kids are dead if a shooter enters a class room and open fires maybe the teacher could wound or stop him before he has a chance to kill more.................... just because your a teacher doesn't mean you cannot be trained with a fire arm many carry them now...

LMAO your boy is ready to shoot a fire arm in a life threatening situation? A marine would know better than to say this. Have you been in a life threatening situation with someone shooting a gun at you? Now think about a boy in that situation.

You guys are idiots. The majority of people would freeze in this situation, whether they had a gun or not.

don't kid yourself do you know how many teachers through themselves on top of kids to save there lives if they had a gun they would use it

No I’m guessing on the 95% of teachers opposing it but I bet I am correct. Leave it up to each school district but most teachers plus most of the general public will continue to think this proposal is stupid and impractical. Federal government should definitely NOT provide special incentives for arming teachers.

Come on man, you're using small isolated examples. Teachers aren't jumping in front of bullets for kids as you think, or the media portrays. Most teachers would not even want a gun.

This is such a stupid argument. It starts with securing the schools better not arming more people and putting more guns out there.

True but its not an argument its a conversation and something has to be done its a fucked up world and for anyone in there 40s and 50s on here it was never like this when we were in school I guess im open to anything to protect kids ive seen crazy shit around the world and to see it going on here it makes me nuts..

When I went to school at least 1/2 of the teachers where prior military. Would be easy back then, maybe not so easy today. Most teachers today have a different mindset. I am not opposed to the idea as so.ething needs to change. I am all for a military style gate system surrounding each and every school with armed officers at each entry way. Yes it will slow things down as far as school entry but until the core family values correct themselves and mental health and hospitals for crazy people are reopened I do not foresee a change.
