Muscle is not trendy.  What quantifies as muscle to us is not muscle to the general public, the world,  Hollywood, etc...

It's never been trendy.

Always been a subculture.

And, of course.

Is muscle trendy? Don't know about the rest of you but I 'lift' for health and appearance, not to be trendy.

I was lifting at 12 when I finally had access to weights. Before that I was doing push-up, pull-ups,
deadlifting cement blocks, bodyweight squats by the time I was in the third grade. Had nothing to
do with getting girls as I was too young to care. I just wanted to be big and strong.

At 58 years old I'm still trying -- lol. I feel like Sisyphus.

This, all day.  I'll be lifting for my entire life, as long as I'm able.  I love it.

i lifted weights since i was 8 years old, when i was 9 i could press the 70 lb barbell i had, most of the other kids couldn't get 50 lbs. i thought i was special...now at 66, i realize just how special.

when all else fails just blame it on the "man"

« Reply #24 on: March 09, 2018, 10:28:21 AM »

If i wanted to be trendy I'd only do chest and arms on club night only and always go straight to my max on 1st set of flat bench...
As well as talk on the phone whilst performing one armed pull ups on an assistance machine
