Most supps/vitamins I can give or take, but when it comes to food supplementation, don't get this parrot act that "real food" is better. Is it like deadlifts, where it's better because it just IS, regardless of evidence or critical thought?
Assuming your protein powder contains what it says on the package (which is overwhelmingly likely), it's less expensive per gram of protein than just about anything else, it's the absolute easiest way to get such a large amount of protein without other macronutrients that you may not want, it's easy to prepare, it's easy to consume (as opposed to "real food", which can become an offputting chore depending on your diet), etc.
