I give Tekashi till the winter before something happens. Right now he's got heavy protection by the cops and that faction of the Bloods, but that money is going to dry up. I liked the first 2 - 3 songs he put out, but they all sound the same now, and are getting shorter. I don't think he'll have another big album, and the touring isn't really happening because of all his trolling.

Only one I ever liked as far as that genre goes is Tone Loc (shows my age). And its not an "anti-black thing", far from it.
I love Hendrix, all the old blues guys (buddy guy, Howlin' Wolf, etc).

I quite like some old school rap groups like Run DMC and De La Soul.
Kanye is one of the few contemporary artists I can appreciate. Outside of that, it's not a good genre imo. It's also too mainstream now which further dilutes any quality.
