In fact, sometimes it gets ridiculous.  Take Ethan Couch.   He kills 4 people and injures 11 driving under the influence.....if he was black, he would have gotten the death penalty if not a life sentence with no parole.   Instead, because he's white and rich he gets probation....and he wasn't even a Chad, Slayer, or a Normie for that matter. I used to work as a corrections officer which is why I know this.   Inmates are nothing more than cheap government labor.  The average inmate earns between 23 cents to 1.15 an hour for work.   Then 80% of that is taken away to offset incarceration cost and restitution....but you can forget about restitution to the victims...it all goes back to the government.  They do jobs from manufacturing, telemarketing, customer service, construction, etc.   You should realize that the American Prison System is bullshit.   Taxpayers pay for the prisons and incarceration already but then government gets to double dip with the cheap labor.   I have no complaints.   I raked up on overtime very easily and collected a lot of money.

Sentencing???   Many people pled guity falsely to get probation and get out early....otherwise, they'll languish in jail or be threatened with a ridiculously long sentence and with the public defenders convincing them to do to clear their books....its a very common thing.   The deck is stacked, the game is always been rigged and the purpose is for the government to get cheap labor.   Along with "mandatory sentencing guidelines" it allows the government to keep a man in prison for 10 years for just 50 grams of crack cocaine.  You have 300 grams of crack cocaine and its 20 years to life.  


Its also a revolving door...when an inmate leaves prison, he has no job opportunities and doesn't qualify for SNAP or government assistance which makes it quite tempting to go back to a life of crime.   I can say that because I worked in the corrections system...YOU DIDN'T.  I've seen some really stupid sentencing...a pastor who got a year in jail for being 3 dollars short on a child support payment, many homeless vets charged with "public nuisance"  and disturbing the peace for the crime of sleeping on a fucking bench.

I've known several people who went to prison, and all were guilty as hell according to the evidence and completely innocent if you asked them. Everyone else I know has a job and doesn't break the law therefore they're not inmates. Most people try to limit their proximity or acquaintance with society's failures.

Lol, I was just curious to your response and decided to play devil's advocate. You're right the cases are for older convictions, but that's partially  because the legal system takes time  (years) to research and reverse a decision.

 I've dealt with numerous prison inmates in my personal life over the last decade, and none were falsely incarcerated (despite most of them thinking the sentencing's were unfair). However some shared stories of "false" imprisonment (mostly deals taken on advice of counsel, even though they were innocent, to avoid a harsher sentence) and one was allegedly completely innocent that was being re-examined.  Rare but it happens.

I agree though criminals are generally consistent with their behavior and actions.

There's companies that will hire ex cons in return for a government subsidy for that very purpose. Most ex prisoners didn't go to jail for working a regular job, and have no intention of ever having one outside of prison. You're defending the indefensible.

They refuse to pay, and go to jail. There's 30 day warnings, 60 day warnings, and so on. Can't pay your bills? Don't have children.

Those countries have very few African Americans. The cost of having 45 million black people is staggering on this country. It doesn't concern me at all that taxes are used to house criminals. I'll gladly pay that to keep them out of my neighborhood. Let them sleep in bunk beds and wash toilets. Your prior alleged history as a corrections officer does not offer you any qualification over anyone else to judge, quite the opposite.
