You realize the federal minimum wage is $7.25, right? No company is obligated to pay more than that. $15 is huge for a lot of people in America, and in rural places (which is where Amazon has a lot of its fulfillment centers), it's more than enough to live on.

I live in a rural area and $15 is more than most people make unless they are professionals.

read my post I said ''depending on where you live '' Im in NY I make 23.50 an hour plus bonus with a mortgage 2 kids 1 in college and my wife works and its still not easy.. so a single or married couple no kids yea 15 an hour in some states is fine

I gotcha. I missed the earlier post I just quoted the think again. 

I don't think k13 was implying $15 an hour was great money but that it was an acceptable rate for a minimum wage hire. 

I'm like most here in that I wouldn't want to have that as my pay but I'd take 15 over 7.75.

I definitely do.Wish I could.It sucks.bills,groceries and gas etc I need about 8k a month.thats leaving nothing extra.3 kids and wife that does not work is pretty rough.
