You really aren't the sharpest pencil in the box. It says "a group." Not all of them. For the benefit of anyone else reading this: no there is absolutely no way a POTUS makes a visit to a war zone, or basically any other military base, and servicemembers are unaware of it is taking place. The amount of logistics involved with that kind of visit is staggering. The fact a handful of servicemembers may not know the POTUS is visiting their actual unit isn't surprising at all. But to take a comment from news article and use it to reach the conclusion that the visit is surprise to everyone is infantile reasoning. Something the person who made that post is pretty good at.

I tried to let you off the hook. The position originally wasn't "Not a single person on the ground knows the president is coming" like you are trying to now make it. The original statement was that a visit by the President causes a week or 2 of pain in the ass for the troops on the ground and I have clearly shown that is not the case in warzones during a Presidential visit. Very few are aware of it happening and planning is done behind the scenes. Damn, do you ever get to the point where you realize you just might be wrong? I'm starting to wonder
