Bostin is doing fine. He's a dad now and that obviously is very time consuming. He's been a columnist for my magazine for over three years now and I love his controversial topics.

Yep. Bostin just put it all out in the open, along with guys like Piana. Professional bodybuilding is just a drug fest. At least Bostin admits it. And he is a likeable sort.

Joe Weider and his brother did their best for years to get people to think it was hard work, protein powder and exercise bands. The end of  this big charade was the advent of the internet. No one had control of the media anymore.

There is a lot to be admired by that.

On the other side, Joe basically duped people to get rich off them, and shared nothing with the "athletes." I'm sure if you looked at the business side of things, it would be appalling. But I guess that's what you can get away with with no government oversight, naive fringe "athletes" with something to prove, and your core target market being an even more naive 13-16 year old boy with low self esteem.

Charles Atlas didn't do any harm because he didn't sell supplements, didn't encourage drug use (directly or indirectly) and his course was a one time purchase with a lifetime of benefits if followed.

Because the judges stopped caring about posing long before they stopped caring about aesthetics.

Watching the Superbowl (Mr Olympia) of bodybuilding posing routines is seriously cringe worthy. You wouldn't want an outsider to ever see you watching this stuff.
