Scuse me, while I kiss the sky"
Why to project your fantasies there little buddy.
No one kisses the sky, tough guy. Don’t try to inject some heavenly fantasy into an obviously gay lyric.

No he couldn't. He could play the guitar somewhat, couldn't play the drums at all.
Brian he indeed could play drums,he played all the instruments on his first two albums

Your mother is a woman of ill repute.  She took many lovers and she's uncertain which one of them fathered you.  Her vagina smells like aged stockfish, she's missing three teeth, and her credit score is 450.
Sounds like a few women I've dated.

prince was the most talented musician to walk the earth, he could play every instrument fluently, and wrote all his songs.

I honestly think Paul McCartney has him beat in terms of talent. He played all instruments, including drums.

Its all about what people like. Ive played bass, guitar, keys, and lead vox in bands.
My kids play every instrument without even really truing once they grasped it in 3rd grade.
My daughters CD just came out w/ Beyone's Sax player (Jazz stuff), just easy for us...

Takes years if not decades of focus on an instrument to achieve mastery. What you're describing is something very different than musicianship.

That proves my point. He doesn't know how to hold the sticks. His wrists are stiff and he is has no technique. Check out some Jim Chapin instructional videos on YouTube, particularly where he teaches the Moeller Technique.

I was playing drums probably before you were born. The statement wasn't that he was a Buddy Rich level player, you said he faked playing the drums. You can argue all day with your moronic "He wasn't holding the sticks right" crap, but you were just shown your ass.. admit it and move on.

prince was the most talented musician to walk the earth, he could play every instrument fluently, and wrote all his songs.

One of the things that made Prince great was his creativity. No one cares about how many instruments an artist can play if the songs suck.

I've heard musicians say most of Prince's guitar parts are fairly easy to play, but when they do they doesn't sound half as good as the original. It's not just about what you play, how it's played makes a huge difference.

As for his skills as a drummer, he was an okay drummer. Good enough for getting the job done on most pop songs, but he was far better on (bass) guitar and keyboards. Candy Dulfer mentioned he played sax rather poorly, which was surprising since no one even knew he played horns at all. AFAIK he never played sax on official records, only demo's.

Anyway it's all relative. Quincy said it best:

A lot of Prince fans were pissed when they saw that clip, but when someone like Quincy who has worked with the best musicians thinks you're an okay piano player, well IMO that's a compliment. He's comparing Prince to people who played piano all day, every day.

If you are a drummer and you think that video was impressive then you are probably a lousy drummer or more likely lying. There is no proficient drummer who would watch that video and state that Prince can play drums.

Meaningless interview. Prince always used a drum machine or studio drummers. He can't hold the sticks and has no flexibility in his wrists, and has virtually no independence between his hands. Not a real drummer. They tried the same nonsense with McCartney.

McCartney did play drums on several of his hit songs.  He played drums on the entire "Band On The Run" LP because half his band quit to avoid recording the LP in Nigeria.  The band members were smart in doing so... Paul and Linda got robbed and they was almost killed (naïve lib-tards).  Paul can hold a beat and do a few fills, but technically he sucks.

Don't move the goal posts. Nowhere did I say I thought that was impressive. That wasn't the initial argument. You said he faked playing drums. More than one person has said he played on his first albums. All we have now is you stating he faked playing drums, while we have video of him playing, he has played on stage with other performers as well, George Clinton to name one, his drumming appears on top selling albums.. so Shizzo, what have you done?

Yes he is faking playing the drums in that video. Merely holding the sticks like hammers and wacking away at drums and cymbals doesn't make him a drummer. Does he have a better sense of rhythm than perhaps an 11 year autistic mongoloid? Perhaps. But he's not a drummer. Far from it.

Love the spectacularly-ignorant who make the ridiculous statement that Prince is the most talented musician to have ever lived.

First, it’s not something that can be qualified, and, second ... Only a ‘tard would suggest such utter and incomprehensible horseshit.

Ace is the definition of Rock God Guitarist. Hendrix can't touch him. Paige can't touch him. Clapton is a joke.
Stop with your retarted ignorant trolling. Just showing your complete lack of knowledge when it comes to guitar.

Hmm wonder why modern drummer interviewed Prince?

https://www.moderndrummer.com/2005/10/prince-2/

"MD sat down with the musical genius before the soundcheck for his recent performance in Hartford, Connecticut. Prince was relaxed, thoughtful, and happy to talk drums."

"Prince: Sometimes not at all. I always record the drums first’that’s real important. I like to record fast. Sometimes the mic’s aren’t perfectly placed or the tuning isn’t right. It’s just a feel thing. One of my strengths is, when I’m playing it all myself, I can make it sound like a total band when I’m done."
