This is IMO a very fascinating interview Joe Rogan did with former Tyson trainer, Teddy Tyson. Considering their history, I'm not sure how to take this but Teddy is obviously speaking from the heart and he sure knows Tyson better than most as he was there from the beginning. And Teddy has a checkered past as well. Still, if someone is interested in Tyson this is a fascinating "confession".

It shows his weak character. I didn't insult or attack him personally. I know Teddy Atlas is a controversial figure so when I brought up this interview I wondered how many people would respond (agree or refute) to his assessment regarding Mike Tyson or just attack him personally. Oldschool chose the latter which always adds nothing to the issue at hand.

Teddy was definitely a hot head and spoke his mind. He didn't endear himself to ESPN when he complained about the judging in the Manny Pacquiao–Jeff Horn in which many, myself included, agreed with him. So yes, he got fired. But I think it reflected worse on ESPN than on him. He may be a bastard but he's genuine and speaks what he believes with no B.S. chips fall where they may. But Oldschool acts more like a girl reacting on emotion than clearly thought out responses to the points made. You disagree, his panties get in a bunch and he, as he did with Teddy, just immediately resorts to personal insults under the protection and anonymity of the internet. Something the coward never would do in real life.

It is worth noting that it was Tyson that would latter in life apologize to Ted and make amends.
