No he shouldn't have.  The backup QB cannot be a headache for the organization.  Baltimore was going to sign him a couple years ago until he blew that up by mocking the team owner as a slave master.
so guys who beat on women and guys who kill dogs for fun and profit should be in the league but a guy who took a knee shouldn't be. okay then

That dude should have been hung like the animal he is!  I can see how his talents got him back into the league(though I vehemently disagree with, and was pissed about), but I am incapable of understanding how Fox has hired him as an on air game day talent.  On top of being a complete POS human being, he can't fucking string a coherent sentence or thought together to save his life.  How Clarissa, Tony G., Whinested, and his other co-workers didn't step in and say, "I'll quit if you put him behind the desk with me" blows my mind!

say what you will about krapernitwit, he should have had a job this year as at least a backup on a lot of teams. the redskins signed a guy who hadn't thrown a pass in the league since 2011.

Funk, it's been posted all over numerous sites many of times, but I'll skip through all the pre-kneeling and crafting of his false narrative stuff, and just go from the following point:

-Colin chooses to opt out of multi-year and multi-million dollar contract with 49ers
-Colin plays ok, but the 49ers have a terrible season and Colin's kneeling has divided the nation on the NFL
-Feeling the pressure and scorn of fans Colin announces he will give $1 million to support causes that fight social injustices (he supposedly did, but we don't know which ones or who owns/runs them... a few shell corps/orgs possibly?)
-$1M is a lot of money, but it is 1/17th of what he made ON HIS FOOTBALL CONTRACT only (other multi-million dollar deals with Beats and Nike, and lower amts with many others)
-Offseason arrives. Colin having played just ok the previous year, and now a free agent is offered a $7M+ per year deal to start for the Denver Broncos. Colin turns it down
-Ravens decide to sign Colin, and announce they are working on a deal
-Colins leftist cray-cray hatefilled racist gf takes to twitter and posts a pic of Ray Lewis hugging Coach/Team Owner (can't recall which it was...all those rich white guys look alike)
above a picture of a clip from a movie where a slave his hugging his owner/master
-Ravens decide not to sign Colin
-Colin files collusion case against NFL
-Seattle Seahawks bring Colin in for workout. He does well. During negotiations Colin demands he be allowed to compete with RUSSELL WILSON for starting job (a top 5 qb consistently, a SB winner, and a qb that defeated the 49ers in the playoffs led by Colin)...Seattle says GTFOH
-Colin continues to cry "collusion" and "I can't get a job playing footbal"
-Johnny Manziel goes to CFL to prove himself
-Colin continues to cry "collusion" and "I can't get a job playing footbal"

-Washington Redskins starting qb Alex Smith suffers what appears to be career ending injury (this is ironic as Colin replaced Alex as the 49ers starter)
-Colin's agent/lawyer/people put out word that Colin is in football shape, throwing daily, and ready to go. But surely SJW Colin would never consider playing for a team with such a "racist" and controversial name as the Redskins, right?
-Colin's agent/lawyer/people put out word Colin wants to play football and would in fact play for the Redskins......wait what???

-AAF Football begins. PFL is getting close and has announced signings, CFL is more than willing to sign Colin (he'd be the best qb and biggest draw in the league), XFL has expressed interest in signing Colin.
-Colin has chosen not to sign or workout for any AAF, CFL, XFL, PFL, or even an Arena Football team (laugh, but it was good enough for HOF'er Kurt Warner)
-Poor Colin it turns out is still under contract with Nike for millions
-Colin's " " gf (you get the point and see the pattern by now) blasts Big Boi and Travis Scott and GLADYS freakin KNIGHT for agreeing to perform at SB
-Nike (who endorses Colin and pays him well for .....well, doing nothing) is the provider of every NFL uniform worn by every player in the SB
-Colin and his " " gf say nothing about Nike and the SB (she has some brains it seems)

It's not as simple as Colin's better than those other guys Funk.  He certainly is.  Colin does not want to play football.  Colin wants to be a celebrity.

I follow NFL quite a bit.  Check PFT daily at least 2-3x.  This is only part of the real truth about Kaepernick.  You still think he should/wants to be in the NFL?

i'm just saying kapernick should have gotten a shot before josh johnson who's record was 0 and 5 as a starter and he didn't throw a pass in 7 years [2011].

thanks good response, i see your point. a lot of guys are deciding not to play rather than risk permanent brain injuries. maybe this is a ploy to get max dollars without having to actually take the field. who knows ?  i watched the HBO special on nick buoniconti it was very eye opening and sad. but in the end no one forces you to play the game.

Again he had a chance with the Ravens and fucked it up.  A backup can't talk shit about the owner and expect to not get canned.  Josh Johnson was never a problem for anyone.

Kap also had interest from CFL teams and declined.  Today he won a bunch of cash in the NFL settlement so it won't matter anyway.

So you read that?  That's only a portion of things, and the question to you remains:  Do you still think that he should be in the NFL?  What rational would be behind any owner/team/fan wanting him on board?

He hasn't played in over 2 yrs, and his last two were very average.  He has spit in the face of 3 teams that offered/willing to offer him a job.  He had his team put out word that he'd be willing to play for the team that has the most controversial, and racist (according to everyone NOT native american) team in all of sports.  He (coward does all his talking through his gf's Twitter) shit all over every black performer at the SB, yet he takes money from the company that provides uniforms for every NFL team in every game played and says not one word about Nike boycotting the NFL.

He's a fraud bro!

Wasn't that his GF and wasnt it after the owner publicly asked for prayer in trying to decide whether or not to sign ck?

Answer: yes to both of these.

Baltimore wasnt going to sign him until the had public approval. After it was determined the fans were against it the talks cooled and then his gf posted the django pic.

From everything I've read he'd asked the 49ers to be able to opt out so he could be a free agent, and have control of where he went.  49ers obliged.  Kinda not true that as an individual he played "ok"....td/ints he did really well....passing and leading his team to victory not so much.  Denver did offer him $7mil and he turned it down thinking 49ers would want him back.  They did not.

Ravens were going to sign him.  Maybe I'm wrong that they were in negotiations when Nessa sent out that stupid tweet, but they were going to sign him and fans said yes to it.  Ray Lewis went to bat for him, and his gf shit all over it....pretty sure Kap was well aware of that.

If you were an NFL star and were trying to get back into the league, and Ray Lewis had your back....would you not dump that crazy bitch for costing you the opportunity if it was her doing unbeknownst to you?   No pussy is that good....especially when you're a young rich celebrity athlete who can pull tail left and right.

it's funny we picked today to get into this discussion as the case finally was settled today.

Crazy.  I had to go to the dr. for my shot shortly after we started discussing.  I read about it on PFT and NFL.com.  Both were pretty much the same info.

Well, no need to debate him anymore.  If he wants to play there's plenty of places he can go, and if he does well an NFL team will sign him.  If we never hear from him again, don't see him making some massive donations or a career of SJW causes, or hanging with celebs from here on out.....we know he was full of shit, and his "efforts" to get back in the league were just about creating the illusion he was still ready and able to play while the case played out.

I enjoyed watching him play when Harbaugh was coaching the team.  Hopefully, I'm wrong about him and he goes on to do great things for causes he believes in.  There is no reason for him to not voice his own opinions (except regarding the lawsuit obviously) from here on out.  Needs to keep his woman in check no matter what.

You're 100% correct he did opt out.  But the  Broncos offer came while he was still under contract for the last season of the $20 million. This was when he was injured and still rehabbing. He wasn't healthy enough to play at the beginning of the year and Chip Kelly named Blane Gabbert the  starter.

Elway wanted CK to waiver his $20 million guaranteed and play for $7m. CK declined that offer.

You may also be right about the Ravens, but his GF sent the tweet August 3rd 2017. Bisciotti publicly asked for prayer on making the CK decision July 30th. It's safe to assume the Ravens told Collin they weren't signing him somewhere between the 30th and the 3rd hence the tweet.

The GF made Ray Lewis look like the house slave, implying Ray was working against the signing, but I (we) dont know anything for sure. After the tweet was public Ray said the Ravens were going to sign CK. I think that's Ray getting back at CK and the GF, after the decision had been made that they weren't signing him.

I dont think having the backing of Lewis mattered much, he was retired at that point and working at ESPN. Players always liked and respected Kaepernick so the issue wasnt a locker room one. I'm sure John Harbaugh was more influential than anything. Being CK's former coach and the brother of the current coach was probably a key.

That said his girlfriend is political nightmare and I would have dumped her BUT she shouldn't be so polarizing that he wouldn't get signed.

Being opinionated is more damaging than beating women it seems.

After reading your part about the 49ers and Broncos, I do remember it being more complicated than what I made it out to be.  I do recall it being more like you posted after reading that.

I don't believe any decision was made before that Tweet from his gf.  PFT was giving updates on talks/rumors/leaks....whatever we want to call them regularly that indicated it was a go...until the slave implication Tweet.  The Owner's prayer tweet was just him acknowledging the fans mostly supported the rumored signing and in my eyes one last indirect "polling" attempt if you will, that's my opinion and how I saw it at least.  Was Ray Lewis pissed off?  Fuck yeah!  Who wouldn't be after going to bat for someone not only to the team, owner, and fans, but to the national viewers that watched him "preach".  The thing with Kap is that he's stayed very quiet, and while doing so that crazy bitch is spewing hate and doing dumb shit that's scaring away teams from signing him.  The commonly held belief was that CK was either fine with it or behind it himself.  If he really wanted to play he could have checked her shit, dumped her, apologized and made it clear on his own Twitter those were not his beliefs, and best option would have been to call Biscoitti and Lewis to apologize, clear things up, confirm his desire to be a Raven, and assure them that would never happen again.  He didn't.  Ray got his revenge.  Deservedly so.

And yeah, you are right about the Harbaugh brothers, but Ray planted the seed and got things started.  John called Jim to get his take, and Jim is on record about the call and the fact that he was totally behind Kap 100% and told his brother the Ravens should go for it....always has been on his side.  He moved into the second round to get him, because he liked him so much in college and his workout, and he benched Alex for Kap despite Alex doing really well the year before, and getting them nearly into the SB.

Seems we both stayed NFL fans despite our disgust with the kneeling trend.  Ironically, our discussion of Kap has derailed this thread now as much as he did his NFL career. ;D

Well Kaepernicks salary (if hes signed) is the equivalent of 4000 GM employee salaries. So we kinda stayed on topic.

A little insight from across the pond if you care: Lambo today are laughed at, 99% here believe they're a joke since Audi purchased them.
Obviously the kind of customer they tend to attract is not helping...

To be fair Audi made lambos more “reliable” and profiting again

But I understand it’s not “Italian” anymore in a sense  ;D

The sad part is seeing all these German/Italian cars being targeted and owned by filthy Arabs/pakis, middle eastern douchebags
